I think Waterford is a team that could be better than people expect after going 11-14 last season. They return a good amount of talent, including Beesley who averaged 7.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game last season as a sophomore. Waterford had a balanced team, but he showed some flashes of being able to take over as an isolation scorer with multiple games of 17 points early in the season. Good change of speed to beat his man off the dribble, and one thing you’ll notice is that he always has his eyes up and scanning the floor looking for an open teammate.

Fenderson had some moments of dominance last season as a sophomore for Prairie. Even though he was only 15 years old, there weren’t many defenders capable of containing his strong and explosive frame. Did occasionally run into foul trouble with his physicality in the post, but in most cases he was able to create high percentage looks around the basket. Fenderson has the explosiveness to finish above the rim while also high pointing missed shots to pull in rebounds in traffic. Versatile defender who can move his feet on the perimeter and also defend taller players in the paint. Already holds a pair of D1 offers after averaging 17.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game last winter.

Sam Pitrof
Sam Pitrof
Sam was a part of the 24:Up team that won the UA Rise 15u Championship over the summer after having a productive freshman season on varsity for Racine Lutheran. Now at 6’3 he’s a do-it-all type of player who’s going to stuff the box score and do whatever his team needs from him. Lefty guard plays with poise on the ball even when facing heavy pressure, and is capable of scoring at the rim or from three. Pitrof has good vision and with his positional size is able to see the floor and zip in passes over the top of his defender on the perimeter. Impressive rebounder for a guard as well. Averaged 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game last season.
Lamont was one of the most productive freshmen in the state last season, and did so for a team that lost just 2 games. Although he can produce at a high level offensively, he’s perhaps at his best on the defensive end as he just has a knack for making plays. Lamont has quick feet on the ball, and tremendous instincts to jump passes to create steals and transition opportunities. He’s a tough as nails finisher with his left hand around the rim, and although he took a low-volume, he was a 40% shooter from 3P as a freshman. Averaged 13.5 points, 3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game as a 2nd team all-conference player last season.
Another name to know at Waterford is Brogan Finnegan Brogan Finnegan 6’4″ | SG Waterford | 2024 State WI . He was a 9.4 ppg scorer as a junior, but really came alive towards the end of the year scoring in double-figures in Waterford’s last 6 games. He’s a long and lanky 6’3-6’4 player capable of playing either guard spot. Brogan has shown flashes of being able to take games over as a scorer, but is also extremely unselfish and has no problem playing alongside talented other talented players. Good drive and kick passer and is also athletic enough to finish above the rim with ease in transition.

Brumby is having a nice senior season on the football field, but is also a name to know on the hardwood. Last year he was a 1st team all-conference selection after averaging 17.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game helping lead an inexperienced Case team to a 13-12 record. At 6’2 he has a powerful yet quick frame that allows him to blow by his man and play through contact on his way to the basket. One of those players who just has a nose for the rim and seems to find ways to get looks around the basket no matter what the defense throws at him.
Isiah had a strong freshman season for Park, and improved in just about every stat category as a sophomore. I really liked what I saw out of him over the spring/summer with Wisconsin PGC as well, as he was a gritty defender who continued to earn minutes on a loaded roster with his effort and scrappiness on the defensive end. Was extremely quick moving his feet on the ball, and showed no fear getting on the floor for loose balls. On the offensive end he has deep shooting range (shot 38% from 3P last winter), and is capable of making plays as a drive and kick passer. Averaged an outrageous 4.4 steals per game as a sophomore which placed him at 7th in the state.
