Jarmile “Money” Robinson
The Edmond Santa Fe youngster had some of the better handles and driving ability at the camp. He was slippery on drives, with the ability to avoid traffic and finish well thanks to high release points or switching hands. It wasn’t just his offensive scoring that stood out in the uptempo nature of the expo. Robinson has great defensive instincts and anticipation, this allowed him to rack up an impressive amount of steals and deflections for a smaller guard. Which lead to scoring opportunities for himself or setting up his teammates. Robinson plays with the small guard swagger that is needed for sub 6 foot players to thrive.
One of the quickest players at the expo, Bruner has the type of short area change of direction that allows him to beat any defender in a phone booth. This ability combined with a tight handle often allows him to create space as defenders have to play on their heels. While he has a good off the dribble pull up (especially in the mid-range), he also uses that quickness to create opportunities for his teammates with drive and kicks. The combination of his quickness and coach’s son skill foundation makes the new Booker T Washington Hornet one of the more exciting watches in Tulsa for the Class of 2026.
Kingston Lemons
The Douglass juniors fits into the mold of many guards from Oklahoma City, active, tough and relentless on drives. In the first game, he was non stop energy, pushing it in transition, working at his best offensively when getting to the basket or showing a good crossover to pull up in the mid-range. At the rim he also kept his eyes up to make drive and kicks to open teammates. In the second contest, he shot it better from beyond the arc. The Trojans will be looking to defend their 4A title and Lemons should be stepping into a bigger role as a key part of that title defense.
Kaleb Nguyen
The junior from Tulsa had a positive impact as a role player for his squad in their opening win. He buried a corner three, then was one of the few players at the event who contributed with good help defense.
