There was a lot of talent in the gym last weekend at the Prep Hoops Michigan Freshman Showcase. I'm going to take a look at some players who had notable performances at the event.

Kae'Vion Wilson (East Lansing)

Has the look of a high level lead guard. He can create for himself and his teammates and can play effectively at a fast pace.

[player_tooltip player_id='1974621' first='Kaelin' last='Tate'] (Paw Paw)

We'll be hearing Tate's name a lot over the next 4 years. He has a very mature game for a freshman and that's especially impressive at the lead guard position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140483' first='Christian' last='Cast'] (Country Day)

Cast was impressive to say the least at the Freshman Showcase. He had the look of a versatile and creative scorer. Cast had great body control around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140480' first='Carter' last='Wade'] (Laingsburg)

Wade was a playmaker that consistently attacked downhill and took the action to his opponent. He scored and passed effectively while on the move.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140518' first='Marcel' last='Brown El'] (Orchard Lake St. Mary's)

Brown El is an exciting prospect that had a great day in Grand Rapids. He's a smooth player that can run the floor and attack off the wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140508' first='Kingston' last='Thomas'] (East Lansing)

Thomas is another wing player that turned heads at the event. He flat out played hard and won hustle points.

Alex Armstrong (Hudsonville)

Armstrong definitely turned heads at the showcase. He showed tremendous versatility and was a threat to score from all over the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140503' first='Jaylen' last='Perry'] (Wyoming)

Perry had himself a day at the PH Michigan Freshman Showcase. He played hard on both ends of the floor and seemed comfortable defending a variety of skill sets.

[player_tooltip player_id='2139938' first='Isaiah' last='Marino'] (Country Day)

Marino showed why he will be a player to watch over the next 4 years! He's got a ready made basketball frame and can score with verticality and power.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140505' first='Kaden' last='Underwood'] (Cousino)

Scouts and coaches certainly took note of Underwood's performance. He moved very well and very comfortably in the paint and put himself in position to grab boards and get buckets.
