Wade was excellent in a really big 55-52 win against a talented Grand Haven team. Wade is just a floor leader that can trusted with the ball and with decision making in big moments of big games. He finished this win with a tie for the team high of 14 points.

Wade is a true leader at the guard position. He has the handles needed to turn the corner and get downhill, even against elite competition. When Wade touches paint with the ball, he’s a top notch playmaker. He can create scoring opportunities for himself as well as pass a teammate open.

Wade was one of the more high-profile 2027 prospects that played this weekend in GR. Luckily, I got to see his one game against The Family , and he more than held his own. It seemed as though anytime his team needed a basket, he created a good opportunity for himself or a teammate. Despite playing in the most-watched game on Saturday morning, Wade played at his own pace, and had control over his team. I was most impressed with his on-court leadership. Every timeout or dead ball, Carter was pulling his teammates into a huddle, very Tim Duncan-esque. A true coach on-the-floor with skill, a dangerous, rare combination.

Wade stepped in and made a huge contribution as a freshman. And he did it on a very talented roster. Wade is at his best when he can get downhill with the ball in his hands. He showed that, even as a freshman, he could shrug off contact, and finish at the rim through defenders. Wade is a solid passer that can also dish the ball off the dribble drive.
