Cooper Flagg, High School Montverde Academy, Class 2024, Position F, HT 6’9
Cooper Flagg is a very high level prospect, that just looks ready for the next stage. You could argue he is the best player in high school basketball right now. He is one of the best shot blockers I have seen in high school basketball in recent years, for players under 7 feet. He is excellent blocking from the weak side, from the paint, and has very good timing. He knows when to leave his feet, and rarely gets beat on shot or ball fakes. He can basically play positions 1-5, and could be a 6-9 guard at the next level. On offense he can score on players of all sizes, is athletic, and has excellent footwork. He has really worked on his shooting and ball handling this year, and he can score from all areas of the floor. I expect him to keep improving his ball handling and shooting. He is so tough to defend. He can be just as effective on the perimeter as down low. He can create for himself or for others. He is also building up his frame, and continues to get stronger. At Peach Jam this past summer Cooper averaged 25.4 points per game, 13 rebounds, 6 assist, and almost 7 blocks per game. All this was against high level competition. At this rate Cooper could be a lottery pick in the NBA draft. Very impressed when I saw him play at the Hoop Hall classics.
AJ Dybantsa, High School Prolific Prep, HT 6’8, Position SF, Class 2026, Position Wing
I first saw AJ play as an 8th grader on ST Sebastian’s. when I saw him play, he was competing against senior’s and post grad players. AJ had a huge summer, including a standout performance against elite competition at peach Jam. He has proved that he can live up to the hype he gets. Something he has really worked on is building his frame, and improving his out side shooting. At peach Jam he showed he is one of the top scorers, and most explosively players in high school basketball. AJ is a 6’8 wing player that looks to get downhill, and can finish at or way above the rim. At peach Jam he averaged 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.5 assist. He also shot very well from the free throw line, going over 80 percent. AJ is very athletic, but also skilled. he is also a force on defense. He is a very good weakside defender, and a very good perimeter defender. AJ is still young, but he is proving he is on a path to be something special.
Cameron Boozer Cameron Boozer 6'9" | PF Columbus | 2025 State #2 Nation FL , High School Christopher Columbus, HT 6’9, Class 2025, Position F
Cameron is the son of NBA star Carlos Boozer. He has an excellent skill set, and great size for todays basketball. He is a very skilled player, who can score face up or go back to the basket. He is a strong built, and a gritty player. He has the potential to be a 6’9 point Forward. He has excellent hands, and will catch anything. He he can get a ton of rebounds, catch every pass in the post, and get a ton of defections on defense. Cameron was another elite prospect who shinned at Peach Jam this summer. Cameron is a very versatile player. He can shoot well from the out side and has great court vision. His size and skill set makes him so tough to match up with. He is also an elite level defender. I think Cameron’s game looks polished, and is ready for the next level. I saw Cameron play last year at Hoop Hall and I was very impressed. Cameron also has a brother Cayden, who may go a bit under the radar, but is also not to be forgotten. Mark your calendar for December 1st, when Cameron Boozer Cameron Boozer 6'9" | PF Columbus | 2025 State #2 Nation FL and Christopher Columbus face off against Cooper Flagg and Montverde.
Tryan Stokes, High School Prolific Prep, Class 2026, HT 6’7, Position wing
Prolific Prep is going to be a show to watch this season, with the duo of top ranked Dybantsa, and Stokes. Stokes is a 6’7 high level wing player. He has a good built, and is very quick, especially for his size. He loves to get downhill, and when he does, there is no stopping him. He is athletic and bouncy. As just a Freshman on the Prolific Prep team, Stokes started, and was a big part of the teams success. He proved he can compete with top level competition. He is quick on defense, and moves well. One thing he is working on improving is his outside shooting. Stokes is still young, but a very high level talent, with a high ceiling.
Darryn Peterson, High School Huntington Prep, Class 2025, HT 6’5, Position SG
Darryn has been living up to his hype. He has been dominating in AAU, and the high school scene. He is proving he can play with the best of the best. Last season he averaged 31 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists in high school. He also played very well for the USA U16 national team. He has a smooth shot from the outside, and can attack off the dribble and finish at or above the rim. He has a very quick first step, and is very athletic. A true three level scorer. Darryn is a high level talent. It is only a matter of time before Darryn commits to a high level division 1 college.
Ace Bailey, High School McEachern, HT 6’10, Class 2024, Position SF
Ace has excellent length, to go along with his high level of athleticism. He has the built of a NBA wing player. He is a three level scorer, with an improving 3 point shot. He is best when attacking down hill. He plays extremally fluid and smooth. He has a high basketball IQ, and makes very good reads and decisions. He can handle the ball well, and make plays off the dribble or the catch. Ace can really be a 6’10 wing player. Ace can make a huge impact on both sides of the floor. On defense he can defend multiple positions, and has a great stance. He uses his length to make it tough to pass or shoot anything over him. He also has good hands, and get a ton of deflections. Ace is a high level playmaker, that has a very high high upside to his game. I think he has NBA potential.
