Santiago was one of the best scorers I saw all day and really impressed me with his ability to hit shots off the dribble. He looked really comfortable getting to his spots in the mid-range, being able to stop on a dime and pull-up before his defender could get a hand up. Connell also had some nice takes to the basket and could shoot it from deep as well.
Highlights
AJ has been known as one of the top 2027 prospects in Minnesota for some time now and looks better and better with each time I see him play. He already stands at 6-foot-5 and has a strong frame which he used to dominate down low. He continues to make improvements to his perimeter game as well, being able to stretch the floor and make plays putting the ball on the floor.
Highlights
Colin’s combination of strength and playmaking were very intriguing to watch and he made a lot of positive plays on both ends of the floor. He is capable of going to work down low, resulting in some contested finishes that he made look easy. Moore has advanced vision for his age as well, commonly setting up teammates for success with passes.
Lu is a very athletic prospect who showed off his versatile offensive game on Sunday. He is capable of stepping out and knocking down looks from the outside, but also attacked the basket with confidence. On a couple of instances, Nyemah hung in the air for finishes, throwing off defenders’ timing for a block.
Highlights
Coby was a difference maker in the paint for his team, doing the dirty work on both ends of the floor. He is a great rebounder, coming away with contested boards on offense and defense. He also had some impressive layups around the rim, being able to finish with either hand.
Highlights
Luca was relatively undersized when he was on the floor, but he did not let that stop him from impacting the game. He hustled up and down the floor, putting himself in good positions in transition situations. When he got the ball inside, he could utilize a floater to get shots off over defenders.
Highlights
Ahmed is still a pretty raw prospect, but showed flashes of what he could do with the ball in his hands. He had confidence when getting loose in transition, looking to speed up the pace of the game. He seems to prefer to play fast and looked good finishing at full speed.
Highlights
Gabe is definitely a player I would like to have on my team, playing very unselfishly and doing some of the dirty work in the paint. He has great size for his age and is a phenomenal rebounder. He was coming away with boards through multiple opponents at a time, instantly getting it to a guard to push up the floor.
Mason was another prospect on this team who was undersized, but was constantly flying around in the matchup that I saw. He moved well without the ball in his hands, getting open for looks when the opportunity arose.
Jayden provided some more ball handling depth for this team. He looked good when faced with pressure from the defense, never panicking and making the right play. Nyaosi also showed what he could do scoring-wise, getting inside for a floater.
