Below are some of my live notes on the individuals that I noticed almost right away when I sat down.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
#897 – Makale Price Makale Price 6'7" | C Penn | 2027 IN – 6’7 – Center – Penn H.S. – Indy Heat AAU
“ Makale Price Makale Price 6'7" | C Penn | 2027 IN is a grown man coming into his freshman year of high school ball. He is 6’7 with superior muscle mass compared to everyone around him. Strong, physical, and coordinated. The sky is the limit for a player like this looking forward. So much potential here, it’s crazy.
#112 – Hayden Rogers Hayden Rogers 5'8" | PG Guerin Catholic | 2027 IN – 5’8 – Guard – Guerin Catholic H.S. – Indy Hoops AAU
“A team player. An individual that would rather make the extra pass then be selfish and take a bad shot. Moves effortlessly without the ball. Very good at staying active as he comes down the floor. He doesn’t have many moments where he is at a stand still. With expansion of his game over the next few seasons, he will be a promising prospect.”
#776 – Jackson Kirk Jackson Kirk 6'0" | PG Noblesville | 2027 IN – 5’11 – PG – Noblesville H.S. – Indiana Elite AAU
“A nasty point guard that has length and a shifty handle. Something that is tough to stay in front of, for long periods at a time. He uses his body to get into his dribble motions, selling the move really well. He can score from all three levels while also being a nice distributor when things open up. Someone to keep an eye on moving forward at Noblesville H.S.”
#756 – Blake Hammond Blake Hammond 6'3" | SG Terre Haute North | 2027 IN – 6’3 – CG – Terre Haute North H.S. – Indiana Jammers AAU
“Not many have the combination of strength, skill, and smarts that Blake Hammond Blake Hammond 6'3" | SG Terre Haute North | 2027 IN possesses. He is relentless on both sides of the floor while being a very skilled player with the ball in his hands. Hammond stands at around 6’3 but plays like he is 6’5 with his athletic ability and strength. I’m not sure what the high school scene is like here in Indy this season but I’d be shocked if Hammond didn’t see varsity minutes.”
#840 – Peyton Miamba Peyton Miamba 6'6" | PF Penn | 2027 State IN – 6’5 – Forward – Penn H.S. – Mac Irvin Fire 2027 AAU
“ Peyton Miamba Peyton Miamba 6'6" | PF Penn | 2027 State IN has one of the highest ceilings as a player, that I have seen at this Showcase. Miamba has length and athleticism. He is 6’5 with, what seems like longer arms. With this size also comes skill. He displays a solid handle and knowledge of when to use his size compared to when he needs to step out and spread the floor. Playing in a power house AAU program like Mac Irvin can take you places, but that’s only if you have the skill and dedication to back it up. Miamba displayed glimpses of both of those on Sunday.”
#841 – Ben Ly Ben Ly 6'10" | C Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory | 2027 IN – 6’9 – Center – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School – Indy Ice AAU
“ Ben Ly Ben Ly 6'10" | C Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory | 2027 IN scream potential. Going into his freshman high school season Ly stands at 6’9 with some room to grow. Both skill wise and physically, I guess. Ly gets up and down the floor with good speed, has great balance, and understands footwork. He is the type of player, that if he can continue to expand things over the next few season, will be a Division-1 basketball player when his high school career comes to a close.”
