The limited scrimmages on Wednesday and Thursday night were filled with high level head-to-head matchups. Here are our takeaways on the prospects we saw from the middle south region of the U.S.
Annor Boateng Annor Boateng 6'5" | SF Little Rock Central | 2024 State AR , 2024, Little Rock Central (AR)/Arkansas Hawks
Boateng is a strong, physical and athletic power wing whose ball skills and strength allow him to finish around the basket with a high level of efficiency. At 6-feet-5, the rising senior plays much bigger than his size, especially on the glass and defensive ends of the floor. Boateng showed that he can knock down open catch and shoot threes with time and space.
CJ Brown CJ Brown 6'2" | PG Kell | 2024 State #150 Nation GA , 2024, Kell (GA)/Game Elite
There were few prospects in this camp who possessed the combination of speed and explosiveness that Brown displayed. The 6-foot-2 point guard has elite downhill speed in transition and blow-by ability in the half-court setting. Brown attacks the rim with aggression and looks to finish over or through rim protectors. The South Florida-commit played with great intensity and effort on the defensive end.
Darius Bivins Darius Bivins 6'0" | PG Alexandria City | 2026 State VA , 2026, Alexandria City (VA)/Washington Warriors
Bivins was one of the younger players in attendance but that didn’t take away from his confidence and skill. The 6-foot point guard is a quick and crafty ball handler who uses the bounce and changes of speed and direction to create shots for himself and teammates. Bivins is not yet 16 years old and his modern point guard skill-set, feel for the game and shot-making ability from three-point range make him an intriguing prospect.
Gicarri Harris Gicarri Harris 6'4" | CG Grayson | 2024 State #86 Nation GA , 2024, Grayson (GA)/Atlanta Celtics
Harris was one of the better scoring guards that we saw and he did a lot of his damage from three-point range. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has smooth shooting mechanics and is a threat to knock down perimeter jumpers both off the catch and off the bounce. Harris’ shooting ability allows him to play off the ball but he also has good feel as a playmaker when in the lead guard spot.
Jackson Keith Jackson Keith 6'6" | CG Southern Durham | 2025 State #84 Nation NC , 2025, Southern (NC)/Team Loaded
Keith has an unorthodox looking shot but man was it effective throughout the scrimmages. The 6-foot-6 wing is a knockdown three-point shooter off the catch and has a fluid pull-up jumper at the mid-range level which he sets up with a potent shot fake. Keith is also an efficient mid-range scorer who flashes to open space and can face-up and knock down 15-footers or get to the rim and use his strength to power through contact and finish.
Jalan Wingfield Jalan Wingfield 6'7" | SF Tri-Cities | 2026 State GA , 2026, Thomasville (GA)/AE5
Wingfield is versatile at 6-feet-7 with his dribble, pass, shoot and score abilities in both transition and half-court offense. Aside from his high-level skill-set, the sophomore wing has elite measureables for a prospect who is yet to crack 16 years old. His length and fluidity at his size are impressive and is absolutely a high major prospect to track.
Jayden Williams Jayden Williams 6'9" | C Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #145 Nation GA , 2024, Overtime Elite (GA)/Atlanta Celtics
Williams is one of the more mobile, agile and athletic big men we saw this summer and it was no different at this event. The 6-foot-10 forward/center gets up and down the floor with ease in transition situations and has great footwork in ball screen action. Williams’ impact is felt most on the defensive end as he can execute ball screen coverages and protect the rim.
