With the 2025 class preparing for their junior season of high school basketball, we put a fresh update on our rankings for that class. In this piece we dive into the players in the top 25 who elevated their stock.
Douglas Langford Douglas Langford 6'8" | PF St. Pius X-St. Matthias | 2025 State #314 Nation CA-S , St. Pius X St.Matthias
Langford is one of few prospects in this class whose size, skill and physicality all come together in the form of a productive high school player who knows his strengths and plays to them. The 6-foot-8 forward showed flashes of dominance inside as a scorer, rebounder and defender throughout the summer and it paid off in a handful of scholarship offers and a three-spot bump in the rankings from No. 19 to No. 16
Angelino Mark Angelino Mark 6'2" | PG SO Notre Dame | 2025 State #358 Nation CA-S , Notre Dame
Mark took advantage of the extra touches left behind from some of the talented players who graduated following the 2023 school year. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is one of the quickest and most explosive athletes in the region but it was his shooting ability and uptick in high IQ and intangible plays on the defensive end that led to his jump from No. 28 to No. 19.
Nate Garcia Nate Garcia 6'10" | C Damien | 2025 State #385 Nation CA-S , Damien
Garcia went from sleeper to on the radar throughout the spring and summer and will likely have a handful of Division 1 programs to pick from when he’s ready to make a college decision. The 6-foot-10 center is a true back to the basket big man whose hands, touch, footwork and all-around feel for the game continue to improve at a rapid pace. Garcia jumper from No. 24 to No. 22
Peyton White Peyton White 6'5" | SF Crespi | 2025 State CA-S , Crespi
White might not be the prototypical “prospect” that catch other scouts/evaluators eyes but the 6-foot-5 wing can really play and really impacts winning with what he does on the floor. White has a strong frame which allows him to be a physical interior defender but his ability to slide his feet laterally is what allows him to guard multiple positions. Offensively, he can do a little bit of everything from getting a bucket on the low block to making a deceptive move in the mid-post to hitting face-up jumpers. White officially cracked the top 25 after sitting at No. 26 in our last update.
EJ Spillman EJ Spillman 6'3" | CG Pacifica Christian/OC | 2025 State #396 Nation CA-S , Pacifica Christian
Spillman jumped into the top 25 after being at No. 27 in our last update not only because of his skill and production every time he takes the court but also because of the energy he brings to the floor each time he suits up. The 6-foot-3 combo guard plays with great effort and passion on both ends of the floor which results in hustle and intangible plays that impact winning.
