Expert Analysis
Aaron Proia | Prep Hoops Scout
-Good size and frame for a PF prospect, plays within himself while remaining assertive as a player that can bulldoze his way to the rim, finish putbacks, and knocked down midrange C+S looks in rhythm. Runs the floor well, knows when to cut to space off the ball or set a screen on it, pretty good vision as a stationary passer from the high post and wing. Good not great athlete, runs the floor well, not overly explosive but he times rebounds well and has a good feel for where the ball is coming off. Finished with 8p 4r 3a 2s 1b, high academic prospect.

has great touch in the paint and around the basket and is developing his jump shot from midrange and the corner. Equipped with a good rebounding motor, he makes a significant impact on the glass at both ends and frequently earns trips to the free throw line. His good strength, well-built frame, and solid footwork enhance his effectiveness on the court.

Douglas averaged 15 points per game and close to 10 rebounds per game in matchups against Coronado (NV), Alta (UT), St. Augustine (CA) and Desert Mountain (AZ) on St. Pius X Matthias’s run to winning the Platinum bracket championship. Douglas anchored the Warriors throughout the week providing a consistent physical presence as he was able to use his body, length, and intuition to defend/rebound effectively and without fouling. He provided his team with a countless number of second and third chances on the offensive end and was often able to finish them himself but also has the vision and ability to setup teammates for easy shots.
