Ben turned in an excellent performance in the 17U semifinals, creating shots for himself, as well as for his teammates. He looked very comfortable pulling up off the dribble, taking advantage of any space given by a defender. Shaffer is also a tenacious defender, constantly pressuring the ball and intercepting passes to go the other way. I was impressed with his vision as well, threading passes through the defense for easy scoring opportunities.

Will was a major reason Minnesota Rush advanced to the 17U championship game, taking over their semifinal matchup with Real Phenom. He has so much value with his ability to score and defend at a high level. He did the majority of his scoring inside, attacking using the dribble or cutting for passes from teammates. I also saw him come away with some steals and take a couple charges.

As usual, Jaleel was putting on a show on Sunday, flying around and making plays for his team. His athleticism has gone to a new level and he was showing it off, rising up for some big time blocks and powerful dunks in fast break situations. He is also valuable as a playmaker, hitting teammates with all kinds of no look and cross court passes. Donley is ranked as one of the top 2025 prospects in the state and was running with Team Supreme this weekend.
Julian caught fire in Minnesota Splash’s semifinal win over Legacy Hoops . The 2026 guard scored a game-high 26 points, knocking down five triples. He is a very confident shooter and was letting it fly with no hesitation off the dribble or off the catch. Greer has good size for his position and used that to get downhill for finishes inside as well. He has solidified himself as one of the top scorers in the Minnesota 2026 class.
Highlights
JJ provided some consistent scoring for Team Supreme in their semifinal victory over Team FSA. The 2025 wing has great size and is so smooth when handling the ball. He always plays at his own pace and can knock down looks from all over the floor. He has no trouble shooting off the dribble and can pull up in a split second. Semanko has been one of my favorite players to watch this spring and summer and is in for a breakout season this winter.
Highlights
Dane is a very versatile 2026 prospect who was playing up a grade this weekend at the 16U level. He can play with or without the ball on the perimeter, but is also able to work inside for finishes and rebounds. He has a knockdown jump shot and is a threat to create for himself using the dribble. Defensively, he can guard a multitude of positions and push the ball after grabbing a board.
Highlights
Elvis was impacting the game in so many positive ways on Sunday. He handled a large portion of the ball handling duties for his team, being a go-to guy late in a tight game. He has a lightning quick first step and found no trouble blowing right by defenders in isolation situations. When he gets to the rim, he has many ways he can finish through traffic, but I also saw him hit his teammates with accurate kick out passes. Neckles can also stretch the floor, as he hit a clutch three in the final minutes of a back and forth game.
Highlights
Amory brings so many positives to his team when he is on the floor, helping Minnesota Rush to another successful weekend. He can score the ball in a variety of ways, being a threat from the outside and inside. He showed that he can connect with looks off the catch or off the dribble from the perimeter. He can also work inside, driving for finishes or grabbing offensive rebounds for second chance baskets. Peterson was also one of the top facilitators in the event, using his elite vision to find open teammates.
Graham Sanneh
Graham Sanneh
Graham has loads of potential and I was very impressed with some of the skills he possesses for his size at his age. The 6-foot-5 incoming sophomore moves very well up and down the court and could match up with guards on the perimeter defensively. Sanneh was dominant on the boards and I even saw him connect with a catch-and-shoot three in the corner. Sky is the limit for the East Ridge 2026, especially if he continues to grow.

Race was doing a little bit of everything in the action I saw on Sunday. The first trait that stuck out to me about his game is his high IQ and decision making. He never forced anything offensively and showed off his vision with some impressive passes to teammates. He is capable of scoring from all three levels and had some creative ways of creating separation from defenders.
