The ability to get to wherever you want to on the court and get any shot you want is a special talent. Here are players from the 2024 class who specialize in just that.
Hodge has all the mechanics and skills to open up his game because of how he can score the basketball already. At 6’8″ he can move and score like a guard at the power forward position. He can use his body and handles to get right to the rim with ease and finish strong over taller players. Hodge can hit the pull-up shots when given them and will look to get into different mismatches to take advantage of them in the post or the perimeter.
Seals is a quick guard that uses his speed, handles, and shooting touch to get anything he wants on offense. In general, seals will look to move the ball but when he puts his head down he can score at will. Seals tight handles allow him to weave in and out of traffic to get different shots. His pull-up game is elite, especially in transition. There are a bunch of moves Seals uses to get space and once he gets past you he can take the contact and finish through it with both hands.
Highlights
Panzini plays with a lot of passion and energy which brings out the best of his play on the court. He can get a rebound and take off down the court in an instant and score over anyone the other way. Panzini has good handles which gives him the ability to create separation for jump shots. Even when it comes to the catch-and-shoot he still will knock down the shot no matter who is guarding him.
Schmid is as pure of a scorer as you’ll see as he can make any basket you set in front of him. He sells the pump fake on jump shots well getting defenders in the air so he can get past them. Schmid uses this nice effective hop-stop move when he gets in the paint to got protect the ball and go up strong for the layup or floater. His shot is smooth always knocking down multiple threes a game while breaking down defenders with his crafty handles.
Dorset plays with a lot of shiftiness to his game and has a lot of moves to go to for him to score in many different ways. When it comes to three-point shooting Dorset needs very little space to let it fly from downtown. He can create more space with his impressive handles. Once Dorset gets into the midrange and painted area he can finish over anyone. He is smooth in the pull-up game and has a lot of shot fakes and moves to go to when in the paint to finish over taller defenders.
