The 6-8 power forward had a strong performance on both ends of the floor as he showed his length and versatility for Skills Center Elite . Philon also displayed great handles like a guard and had a great first step towards the basket finishing around the rim efficiently. On the defensive end, Philon made his presence felt with his rebounding and ability to limit second chance scoring opportunities.
Highlights
The 6-8 rising junior wing showed he can be a viable inside out threat as he has the ability to stretch the floor knocking down shots across all three levels. On the defensive end he was aggressive guarding against multiple positions and playing with physicality making things difficult for the opposition. His pure shooting display has continued to improve over the course of the summer. He’s received his latest offers from Furman and Georgetown as well as being poised to have a big junior season.
Highlights
The Jacksonville University commit continues his ability to make plays happen as well as play a versatile role on the offensive end of the floor knocking down shots on all three levels. Arias also displayed he can play multiple positions and showed great feel for running the combo guard position. On the defensive end he displayed great footwork and his ability to stay in front of his man with lateral quickness has improved this summer. The 6-6 small forward is poised to have a big senior season.
Highlights
The recent Louisiana Tech commit showed great IQ and promise on display during Day 2 of the NCAA Basketball Academy. Bates is a skilled ball handler who makes great decisions on whether to pass or attack the basket. His strength was playing well on both ends of the floor whether it’s guarding multiple positions on the defensive end or playing under control on the offensive end.
Highlights
The 6-3 combo guard is one of the top tier prospects for the upcoming sophomore class. He is a sharpshooter who can knock down the open 3 or use his pure athleticism to finish at the front of the rim. Shabazz also received his first offer from Wake Forest earlier this summer and is poised to have a big sophomore season.
The 6-8 power forward was a beast on both ends of the floor during Day 2 of the NCAA Basketball Academy. On the offensive end, Traore finished efficiently around the rim using his strength and aggressiveness in the paint. On the defensive end he was a bruiser and was a force on the glass limiting his opposition from getting any second chance scoring opportunities. He also has a smooth touch to expand his game into a viable mid-range game.
