I had boots on the ground primarily at the Turnstone-Plassman Athletic Center covering the action throughout Friday afternoon and evening. Let’s dive in to a handful of the prospects who stood out as action go underway.
Putting up 29 points in a victory is bound turn to some heads. That is what this 6’2″ guard did for OPS Grey 2025 while also pulling down 7 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists. His ability to score in a variety of different ways, plus some strong playmaking skills, makes him a very difficult matchup on the perimeter. He continues to have a very good summer.

We often think of this 6’4″-6’5″ guard as a catch-and-shoot threat who scores it from the perimeter. While he is very good at playing that role, Hauser is so much more than that offensively. That was on display Friday night at Turnstone – Plassman Athletic Center against Ohio Bucket – Young. The bigger guard showcased his playmaking skills off of the dribble proving he can not only act as a secondary playmaker but potentially even filling in with point guard duties as well.

After a tough loss earlier in the day, Summit City Elite Black 2024 came back with a last-second victory over Indy EBC Blue 62-61. A big part of that come-from-behind victory was 6’2″ guard Caden Pettis Caden Pettis 6’2″ | SG DeKalb | 2024 IN who scored a team-leading 20 points. His ability to get to the basket and score from multiple spots on the floor was crucial to pulling out the win in the final minutes.

Not too many players fly under-the-radar to us at Prep Hoops Indiana, but Rose has admittedly done that. I’ve certainly heard the name after he received first team all-conference honors as a junior at New Albany and I’ve seen this IE Blaze Select team once before back in the spring, but I admittedly simply wasn’t very familiar with Rose’s game. However, the 6’1″ guard made quick work of catching my attention as he scored 25 points in a victory over Indiana Game UA Rise.
Sorensen led Indiana Game UA Rise in scoring twice on Friday. They suffered a tough defeat to IE Blaze Select in their evening contest where he scored 14 points, but he was excellent earlier in the afternoon knocking in four first half three-point attempts on his way to a big scoring performance. The tough, competitive guard plays with such a high motor and can flat out score the basketball. Small college coaches were following him closely on night one of the GRBA National Championship.

There is no denying Tewari’s versatility as a scorer. He was very efficient for Yorktown over the last couple of seasons and that was on display with some three-level scoring potential on Friday night for All Area Gold. The 6’3″ guard handles the ball well enough to create his own shot, elevates very well on his pull-up in the mid-range, and is a high percentage catch-and-shoot threat. Small college programs should be getting eyes on him this weekend.
