Upward Stars 3SSB 16U Bounce Back in a Big Way
After a disappointing start to Bracket Play on Thursday,
Upward Stars 3SSB
16U put on a rout of Team Rose on Friday Afternoon 79-50. Although they had a strong start, the lead just continued to balloon due to the constant pressure of Upward’s defense. On the Offensive End, Porter Gaud’s

Upward Stars 3SSB 17U Fall Again
After taking a 69-57 loss to Dream Vision this evening,
Upward Stars 3SSB
17U drops to 2-0 in Bracket Play in Rock Hill. It was, however, a much better performance from the Stars who had multiple Second Half leads.

all had good games. In particular, I was impressed with Greene. He was a calming presence in the Upward Backcourt, helping set the tone of both ends and getting his teammates the ball on time. The 17s will take on D1 Minnesota at 2:00 Tomorrow Afternoon.
Upward Stars 3SSB 15U Split The Day’s Action
Upward Stars 3SSB 15U played in two extremely tight games on Friday. In the 5:45 Window, they defeated Midwest Basketball Club 65-64, and in the 8:15 Window, they lost to Team Loaded NC 58-57. Due to the timing conflicts, I was unable to catch either of the games in their entirety, but the 15s are now done for the Weekend. They finish at 3-2 and in a tie for 11th Place in the 15U Championship Bracket.
Team Loaded VA 15U’s Run Ends in Quarterfinal
Similar to Upward Stars 3SSB 15U, I didn’t get to catch the full game between Team Loaded VA and Atlanta Celtics. However, it was another one that went down the wire. The Celtics pulled out a 63-55 Victory and advanced to the 15U Championship Bracket Semifinal. Team Loaded VA gets an off day tomorrow and then will return to action on Sunday Morning taking on Utah Prospects at 9:00 AM.
