Starting off the 2025 Class 3A Elite 8 Brian Sumpter Brian Sumpter 6'8" | SF Keenan | 2025 State SC of Keenan High School, who are in 3A Region 4. Sumpter is the only Top 10 Player in the Class and is the only committed player in this list. The Raiders had some struggles last year in the Regular Season before getting hot down the stretch and making it to the 2A Upper State Championship. In 2023-24, Sumpter was second on the team in scoring at 12.3 Points Per Game while also adding a stagger 9.4 Rebounds Per Game and 2.5 Blocks Per Game. Brian has tremendous length and great instincts in protecting the rim. On the offensive end, he is at his best working in the paint but he also has good qualities stretching the floor and creating off the dribble. Sumpter committed to Wofford College on September 14th.

Sumpter and the Raiders look to rebound from a tough (15-17) season last year. Brian brings good versatility to the floor with his length and ability play inside-out on the floor. He will challenge shots on defensive end of the floor. The slender-sleek Anderson has no problems crashing the glass.

Anderson averaged 12.3 ppg, 9.4 rebounds and 2.5 blocks last season for the Raiders.

Sumpter was business as usual for Keenan in Duncan but didn’t play much down the stretch of the final game as his Coaches wanted to see what the squad looked like without their most talented player. Brian has special length and has become an exciting all-around prospect. One wrinkle the Raiders did to utilize that length was playing him on-ball defensively, starting him near the top of the key and switching all hand-offs to keep him effective. When he wasn’t around the perimeter, he was affecting shots near the basket and had 4 total blocks between 2 Games.

Brian is another 17 from Upward Stars whos had a standout performance against Phenom United. He got it done by making plays on both ends of the floor, using his length to affect shots and corralling loose balls for second-chance points. He also forced turnovers, racking up both a steal and a block to go with his 12 Points and 4 Rebounds. Arguably his most impressive attribute was his efficiency. Despite playing 28 minutes, he missed just 3 shots going 6-9 from the field. Sumpter’s two-way play was a massive reason why Upward got an important win on Saturday Night.
