Chris Crudup Chris Crudup 6’3″ | PG Southern Wake Academy | 2024 State NC was easily the best player on the floor in the 17U division for No Guts No Glory. He’s made huge strides over the past few months in his game, improving his ball-handling and body in the weight room and it’s shown. He’s a much stronger/confident finisher around the painted area when driving off the bounce. He didn’t hesitate to get others involved, either, as he averaged 4.7 apg to go along with 17.3 ppg and 4.7 rpg. He’s taken the game a lot more seriously in showing he can operate at either guard role and rebound when the ball isn’t in his hands.

Ira Wilson Ira Wilson 6’7″ | SF South Wake Sabres | 2025 State NC was an active presence in the Team Curry East rotation, showing when he didn’t have the ball in his hands, he rebounds in bunches as he snagged 23 rebounds (7.7 rpg) across their three victories on their way to the championship. He’s a 2025 prospect that didn’t show any signs of slowing down despite playing up. He closed things out strong with 10 points, but he was even more lethal in the rebounding and playmaking front. He filled up the stat sheet in their semifinal victory, finishing with eight points, nine rebounds and six assists. He’s a versatile presence at 6-foot-6 that can operate in multiple ways.
Highlights
Asher Tolbert
Asher Tolbert
Asher Tolbert was one of the top shooters in the 17U division at OneDay Bump 7 as he knocked down a total of six 3-pointers, three in each game for NC Spartans Patton. He set quite the tone with his ability to space the floor and knock down shots on the wing. He wasn’t afraid to defend on the interior and rebound when the ball wasn’t in his hands, either. He’s an intriguing prospect in the 2025 class that played up but didn’t show any signs of being uncomfortable.
Marty Giant
Marty Giant
Marty Giant was a prospect that easily stole the show, so to speak, with NC Spartans Patton with his athleticism and versatility. He operated at the guard spot, but he didn’t hesitate to secure rebounds himself in order to create offense on the other end with his exploits off the bounce. He plays with a ton of energy on the floor, looking to operate inside and out given his strong frame at 6-foot-2. He finished with 14.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg and even knocked down a 3-pointer across their two appearances at OneDay Bump 7. He’s a young prospect in NC’s 2026 class to start tracking out of Phoenix Prep.
Najai Hines Najai Hines 6’9″ | C South Garner | 2025 State NC was an impressive prospect in the frontcourt for Strictly Ballas as he was another 2025 prospect playing in the 17U division. He was a dominant force all day long, averaging 11.3 ppg, 13.7 rpg and 5.0 bpg including putting together a 14-pt, 10-reb and 8-block performance in their final game at OneDay Bump 7. He’s a 6-foot-9 prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor as a rebounder, defender and rim-protector. He’s due for a breakout season with South Garner High in 2023-24.
