Expert Analysis
Tre Cordon | Prep Hoops Scout
The NGNG forward helped propel his team to a championship in their first weekend out at big shots in Rocky Mount. Then followed that up with an impressive showing at Made Hoops East Mania including a double digit scoring first half that helped lead his team to a victory over Expressions EYBL. In these two events he showed an added confidence with the ball in his hand and as a shooter, one to watch going into the first live period.

Of all the games I’ve covered so far this week, I’ve yet to see anyone have the all-around stat line that I saw from the forward from Southern Wake Academy. Ira finished the contest with 12 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds just two shy of a triple double in the win. Standing around 6’7 he has the rip and run ability with most rebounds, while also having the IQ to find guys when open which leads to easy buckets for the rest of his teammates. He’s been having one of the more impressive postseason runs of guys still playing this late in the season.

A player that always seem to make the right play at the right time, you won’t see him play the game in a selfish way and he does whatever his team needs from him. He’s a gifted passer and has the ability to defend multiple positions without an issue.

Wilson finished with a double-double for SWA with 12 points and 10 rebounds and also finished with three assists, despite the result. He did well in attacking in spots and showed he could make plays for others within the half court offense. He’s a prospect trending as a DII/DIII prospect as more programs get eyes on him.

Wilson is another wing/forward who’s beginning to assert himself as a presence inside and outside the arc for Southern Wake Academy. He’s averaging 10.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest through the first eight games for the Lions as they sit at 7-1 so far on the year. He’s a DII prospect for programs in the region to target given his production on the floor.

One of those players that always seems to make the correct play at the correct time. He doesn’t force anything, has a nice IQ for the game, can play inside and out and will be a key piece for his team as they look to make a run at a state championship.

Wilson was his usual self as he’s finding his role in the SWA with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. He’s another prospect who’s starting to find things to become a lot easier as he pushes the pace and attacks the painted area as he did a number of things to help the Lions’ winning cause. He’s a prospect for DII programs in the region to start adding to their radar.

Wilson took things over on the playmaking front when it looked like things were stalling out for the Lions as he led the way with six assists and seven rebounds to make an impact. He does a lot of things that don’t require him to score, making him quite the versatile piece to have on the floor. He’s a prospect for D2 programs in the region to track closely.
