Henson was a name that stood out at our Top 250 Expo this past fall, and he continued to shine all season long at Clayton. While only averaging 7 PPG and 2.5 APG, he played on a loaded team and still certainly made an impact every game night in and out. He jumped almost 80 spots up to 165th, solidifying his status as a good player in the state. We’ll hope to see him more in the spring and summer as he looks to get college coaches attention, as well as load up for a last ride at Clayton.

Henson’s ability to shoot the rock  is really an off the bounce kind of thing, but he showed why he’s a lethal beyond the arc threat all Sunday. His lateral movement is so quick and opens up opportunities to get space, and has a quick release to fire shots without a defenders contest. He likes space to operate in, taking guys out of isolation situations, but can shoot the ball from a spotted up catch position as well. Incredibly versatile.

Jeremiah displayed an ability to turn corners , stop on a dime, and hit shots off the dribble. He utilizes his speed, vision, and touch to create for himself or others. Will be a nice lead guard for his varsity program this year. 

So many of the signature players throughout the day at Cox Mill HS were juniors. Among those is Henson who is on the verge of beginning his 2025 campaign with Clayton. Henson can get crafty with his ball movement, footwork and passing abilities. Defensively, he will come seemingly from out of nowhere to negatively affect the trajectory of an opposing ball handler’s shot attempt. Henson will showcase his point guard skills with how he will organize an offense in a half court set. He also has an ability to score as a 3-point shooter, in the midrange game and close to the rim.

One of my favorite guys out at the event across all twelve teams, Henson absolutely feasted in single coverage and as an off the catch shooter. Definitely can spray the ball from behind the arc, but also brings some dynamic isolation scoring to the table. He’s got the ball on a string and can get defenders off balance in order to either get an open jumper or get to the rim. Very offensive minded, but does it efficiently and doesn’t hog the ball, he attacks his spots when needed.
