Continue ReadingOne of the bounciest forwards in the state, Cannon Richards Cannon Richards 6’6″ | PF Kell | 2024 State GA is on the precipice of cementing himself as a D-I prospect. Richards loves to attack from the high post and wing. Whenever he catches with his back to the basket he immediately faces up and goes into a triple threat. He likes to shoot over the defense or make a quick move to the baseline. While he can present some matchup problems, serving as a small-ball big or splitting time at the 3 or 4, defensively Cannon has major versatility. He erases shots and looks like a pogo stick when corralling rebounds. Against McEachern he put up 8 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks.
Seyi made a positive first impression with his length and effort as a defensive presence. He collects rebounds at their highest point and alters shots inside. Listed at 6-foot-5, Daramola plays much bigger.
Long and athletic, standing close to 6-foot-7, Jaron Saulsberry Jaron Saulsberry 6’6″ | SF Norcross | 2026 State GA has a high ceiling. Aside from his natural tools, Jaron has an intriguing skill set. He cut to score and showed off a pull-up jumper. He’s quick off the floor as a rebound and shot blocker. Jaron’s length and reflexes allow him to shut down passing lanes. Against Lanier, Jaron finished with 4 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks.
Tylis looks the part. He has impressive size and length with a good frame that will surely pack on more muscle over time. When Jordan asserted himself, he was effective. He scored with a floater, a post turnaround, a dunk and a mid-range jumper. At 6-foot-8 with quality perimeter skills, Jordan should be able to positively impact games in every facet imaginable. Keeping his motor revved will help him reach his upside. In a 43-40 win over Madison County, Jordan tallied 8 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
The rising junior should start to log big minutes now that he’s an upperclassman. Brandon is long and mobile. He could stand to get a little stronger, but by no means does he get pushed around in the paint. He helps space the floor and can get to the basket off the bounce from time to time. Lanier is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. His best basketball is a few years ahead of him.
