Brandon Lanier Brandon Lanier 6'7" | PF Lanier | 2025 State GA is having a breakout season for Lanier and Saturday may have been his most impressive performance. The 6’7 forward dominated the paint on his way to a double-double, 18 points and 11 rebounds. Lanier plays the game with a lot of emotion and that translated into a tenacity on the glass. He makes for a great complementary big alongside some talented guards and should see his stock rise throughout the season.

It is only fitting that one of the standouts at 6A Lanier happens to be someone with Lanier as their last name. The Longhorns, last season, put together a season that saw them finish with a 26-5 mark and made a very deep run in last season’s 6A state tournament. Lanier will corral rebounds on either end of the floor and those offensive boards can turn into two-point putbacks. He also displays his offensive versatility in connecting in midrange jumpers and will look to find spacing in the interior. He wears the uniform of Norcross Heat when the high school season gives way to the AAU circuit.

The rising junior should start to log big minutes now that he’s an upperclassman. Brandon is long and mobile. He could stand to get a little stronger, but by no means does he get pushed around in the paint. He helps space the floor and can get to the basket off the bounce from time to time. Lanier is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. His best basketball is a few years ahead of him.
