Section 7, the highly anticipated premiere basketball exposure event of the summer, is set to take place from June 23rd to June 25th in the vibrant city of Glendale, Arizona. Bringing together some of the most talented and promising basketball players from across the nation. The event serves as a platform for prospects to showcase their skills in front of fans, college coaches, and scouts, and in the past has been the catalyst for interest, offers and commitments. With over 800 players hitting the hardwood, we preview a few players with the most to gain this weekend.
The Southern California wing is an intriguing prospect because of his length and skill. At 6’7 he’s a talented passer that uses his height to see over defenders. A decent athlete that protects the rim, and can hedge and switch ball screens, he’s comming off a junior season where he put up over 16 per game. He should draw a ton of looks this weekend.

Rhymes has had an interesting high school career. He’s positioned to have a huge impact for Gorman this weekend. The athletic, highly skilled wing has shown that he can create for himself, while being both a slasher and shooter. Really looking to see how well he defends this weekend, as that could be the key to unlocking an offer or two.

In my opinion no player this weekend has more to game than Staton. The 7 foot monster was little known until only a few months ago, now after spending a Spring racking up high major offers, he’s got an opportunity to stake his claim as one of the best out west. Look for him to impact games with is rim running, rim protection and finishing. Don’t be suprised if he has a game that draws scouts, and coaches off the main courts and onto his.

Saw Hutton a few weeks ago, in Phoenix. He did a great opportunity of captializing on the fact that coaches were there to see big man Bradey Henige Bradey Henige 7’0″ | C Cactus | 2024 State #192 Nation AZ . Hutton did a little of everything in the game I saw, while playing a point forward role. At 6’5 he can handle with his strong hand, get to the rim, and finish through contact. With Heinge expected to draw a ton of attention again, look for Hutton to use it as an interest gaining opportunity.
Whenever I see the word Clovis in front of a team, I know they’re going to compete, play smart and be tough. Jackson Young from Clovis West brings all those traits and a strap to Section 7. His ability to change the scoreboard and protect the ball, will be key to both team and personal success for him this weekend.

Stockrising weekend opportunity for Darden. The PG has been one of the better defenders I saw this Spring, and now he gets to showcase his skill on a big stage. He’s quick and has the aforementioned signature skill. If he shows outside shooting improvement, look for him to draw interest this weekend.
One of the most fundamentally sound bigs in his class could really thrive this weekend. What I like most about Lemke, is that he does everything correct even the boring and traditional fundamentals. You can identify him by looking for the 6’8 dedicated rim runner, to keep the ball high when he rebounds, use good footwork to work into his post moves, and making boring blockouts to keep more athletic defenders off the glass.
Call it a hunch, but I think Bradley’s going to have a big weekend. The unselfish foward has done a good job of transitioning his game down to more of a perimeter position, and I think it’s going to help him a lot. He’s got the ability to make shots in catch and shoot situations and won’t be intimadated or bullied when he’s on defense. Liberty has built a big game reputation during his time at the school, so don’t expect the stage to be to big for him.
Williams has all the skills you look for in a PG. He has a solid handle, he can shoot it from outside, and he has the speed and quickness to impact the game on both sides of the ball.
