Bringing together some of the most talented and promising basketball players from across the nation. The event serves as a platform for prospects to showcase their skills in front of fans, college coaches, and scouts, and in the past has been the catalyst for interest, offers and commitments. With over 800 players hitting the hardwood, we take a look at some standouts from day 1
The more I watch LBJ play, the more and more I like him. He looked like a kid deserving of D1 offers, dominating his opening game. He’s one of the best Glass Cleaners at the event, and he had no problem showing off his skill on this day. He’s added versatility to his scoring as not only was he effective with his back to the basket, but he also managed to face up and slash to the basket. He already has several offers including one from Nevada, if he continues to play like this throughout the weekend, don’t be suprised to see more come his way.
Highlights
Have to consider Hutchinson as a 3A player of the year canidate. You also have to start looking at him as more of a 3 than a 4. He was really good, showing not only the ability to faceup, but also the ability to create for others the further out on the floor he was. Meadows ran their offense through him at the high post, and he rewarded the Mustangs in their first game, by mercilessly attacking his defender.
Many have Henige graded as a Mid Major, I think it’s fair to add a plus to his grade. The lefty looked like a point center out there, handling the ball, leading the break and setting up shots for teamamtes. It felt like whenever he wanted to the lefty could get to the rack and score, and that’s probably because it was an accurate assesement.
I’ve been on the Hutton bandwagon for about a month now, and he’s done nothing to convince me otherwise. He plays with terrific pace, and has great vision for a player his size. Hutton was able to faciliate from just about every spot on the floor, and when defenses keyed in on his teammate Heinge, he made them pay by attacking the rack. The little known player garnerd a ton of interest from on looking coaches.
Dacuma has the feel, of the type of player that is about to have a monster year. He looked like a two year starter today, showing a ton of shiftyness, to go with some knock down shooting abilty. I love both his physical and mental toughness as he did a good job of knowing when his team needed a big shot, as well as attacking and finishing through contact.
I’ll take Josiah Stroughter Josiah Stroughter 6’0″ | CG Democracy Prep | 2026 State NV on my team any day. The guard is an ubber competitor that sprints into a challenge. In a hard fought first round game, against a game opponent, the PG decided that he simply would not allow his team to lose, putting together 7 straight points to close out regulation, and overtime. If I’m being honest, I don’t think there is one skill that he’s great at, but when the game is on the line he shows up in spades. His grit and toughness helped Democracy Prep advance.
I love guys that can impact games without scoring, and that’s just what Binford did. The active wing was all over the place, getting rebounds, defelections and steals. There was a stretch in the game I saw where it looked like anything that came off the rim belonged to him. He used his glass cleaning skills to score off putbacks, and he wasn’t shy about using his explosive first jump to protect the rim.
I owe Nance an apology. I’ve had him listed as a combo guard for year’s, today, he showed that he’s a pure point. The talented scoring guard was a willing passer, breaking down defenders and setting up teammates. The lefty prefers to go to his strong hand, however he will deliver the dime with either. Known as more of a score first guy, he made several teammates better with his play today.

Jackson was really good on the day, and he brought out a new weapon, his left to right crossover, which had several players reaching for air. The jitterbug PG was able to knock down threes, which forced defenders to crowd him. When that happened, he brought out his COD, buckling ankles, and allowing him to get into the lane.
