TJ Bell TJ Bell 5'11" | PG Westwood | 2024 State SC – Westwood High School
Of the small handfull of teams that I got to see multiple times this weekend, Westwood was near the top in terms of impressiveness. They were lead by PG TJ Bell TJ Bell 5'11" | PG Westwood | 2024 State SC . Bell grabbed control of the tempo early against Georgetown, a game that the Redhawks would go on to win comfortably. Against Hillcrest on Saturday, Westwood struggled early. But it was the leadership and tough shot making of Bell who help them snap out of it. Bell does a great job getting his teammates their shots and loves to play with a head of steam in transition.
Kaleb Evans Kaleb Evans 6'3" | CG Lexington | 2025 State #243 Nation SC – Lexington High School
Following the opening of the Contact Period for members of the 2025 class, Evans put on a terrific display of his talents at the SCBCA Live Team Camp. His High School Team, Lexington, has a 1-2-3 Combo that is one of if not the best in the state. There is a lot of great players on the Wildcast roster, and it’s Kaleb’s job to keep everyone involved in the action. Evans is always in control of his game, despite being of the quicket players on the court. He is extremely creative to get around defenders the rim, but can also finish strong through contact. If you get the chance, keep up with this kid’s recruitment because it is due to blow up at any moment.
DJ Martin DJ Martin 5'10" | PG Fountain Inn | 2025 State SC – Fountain Inn High School
The lone lefty of the group, DJ Martin DJ Martin 5'10" | PG Fountain Inn | 2025 State SC is a propect I have got to watch evolve over the past year and a half. Martin is extremely hard to contain off the dribble, and his first thought is usually to find his teammates for an open shot. The school where DJ attends, Fountain Inn High School, is only 3 years old and DJ’s class is the oldest in the building. The Fury have returned nearly their entire Varsity Roster in back-to-back seasons, and are primed for a run in the AAA Playoffs sometime soon.
JJ Rembert JJ Rembert 5'11" | PG Nation Ford | 2024 State SC – Nation Ford High School
Rembert in the open floor is a joy to watch. He has some devasting dribble moves, has a nice pull-up game, and can finish in a variety of ways near the basket. This combination of assests in their own right are impressive, but JJ also displayed some very nice dumpoff passes to his Bigs on Saturday vs Goose Creek. The 2024 Class is loaded with guards, but I believe that Rembert is among the best in the state in that category
Braylen Mumford Braylen Mumford 5'8" | PG Lugoff-Elgin | 2025 State SC – Lugoff-Elgin High School
Mumford had a solid performance when I saw the Demons play on Saturday Afternoon. He started with 2 quick steals and a three, and would go on to finish with 10 Points and 6 Assists. Braylen has a very balanced game: he’s a willing passer, a consistent shooter, and a good defender. Despite his smaller frame, Braylen had a big impact on the game and was one of the top players on the floor in that contest.
Damani White Damani White 5'9" | PG West Ashley | 2026 State SC – West Ashley High School
The youngest player of the group, Damani is a very intersting 2026 Prospect because he already has the full reigns of the West Ashley Offense. He is a quick enough to drive by defenders, has a deadly crossover, and is a knockdown 3 Point Shooter. White was very impressive in the two games I got to see this weekend, on a young but fun Wildcat Roster.
