Harrison Aligbe of Minnehaha Academy (6’6 Wing). Aligbe is about 6-foot-6, moves well, and has the modern day frame of an active wing. He scored 6-7 a game last year as a raw player last winter that still helped his team get to the state championship game. This off-season we are seeing a player that is starting to get more consistent in his production. And when you consider how Rolyns (brother who just graduated) grew, and how good Prince was in high school, Harrison is a player to keep an eye on.

of Benilde-St. Margaret’s (6’2 Guard). Watched Donley this weekend and he made some plays with the top team in the event that caught the eye. He’s a 6’2 explosive with his step (and leap) guard that has a very tall father so you have to believe he can keep growing. Donley has physical gifts that many others in this class don’t have and I thought he played in a cleaner way this past weekend skill and decision making wise. If that continues the basketball prospect world will open for Donley.

of Chaska (6’7 PF). There are things about Tray that are different and make him what could be a stretch four in the modern game. He is listed at 6’6 but this weekend I thought he looked closer to 6’7. He has the shooting touch that could develop into the stretching game that schools love but he also does things around the basket and plays a smart game.

of Sauk Rapids-Rice (6’2 Wing). Hudson is incredibly athletic and he plays hard. I was not sure where he really fits at the next level but in the last month I’ve become very confident that Hudson can be the worker, defender, active player that fits into a line-up that coaches love. He plays really hard blocking shots, contesting shots, and rebounding in much bigger numbers than his height would indicate. And has been really good within the Comets structure, and I thought he did a great job this past weekend fitting in with his team. There were guys that normally score 7-8 buckets a game that only got 2-3 this weekend where as Hudson got his five scores and 7-8 boards in this setting just like he does in the AAU and HS setting.

of Hopkins (6’0 PG). Smith looked outstanding this past weekend. I feel he cut down on the dribbles some and took advantage of the space he created quicker than we have seen. His touch was there, he attacked the heart of the defense regularly with success, and Smith always found ways to create space to create offense. I was a huge fan of the way he produced. Of course Smith does not have a big frame, no reason to hide that. But as he is getting taller and more mature, we are seeing more production.

of Alexandria (6’8 PF). I really liked how active Chase was with his team. We know him as a stretch four that makes shots and he did that, but the pass and cut, the run the floor, the fight to get to spots, these are things that really jumped out to me this past weekend. Chase is a shot maker and that is what he will always be known for. But there was more to him this past weekend which is so important.

of Orono (6’9 PF). No player in this class has the ceiling that Brady does. You can argue with that all you want but he’s taller and longer than most and Wooley runs well with good body control. Those are natural things that put him on the college radar initially and those are things people can’t match. Brady’s production needed an increase. And we have seen that happen the last two weeks in a big way. At Gopher Team Camp, Breakdown Summer State, and MNBCA Camp, Brady was active and he was productive. That activity led to him getting to good spots to touch in scores and that activity made it tougher for opponents to score over him. Brady has the physical ability to get to places many can’t (longer and taller) and when he wins the fight to spots he is a decision maker. Wooley opened a lot of eyes this past weekend.
