At this year’s event, seven prospects from the MD/DC/VA area made the trip and on day two of camp, had strong showing in their own way.
Jordan Scott Jordan Scott 6'7" | SG South Lakes | 2025 State #130 Nation VA | South Lakes/VA Elite ’25
Scott’s name has caught serious momentum since the beginning of spring and thus far in Indiana for CREI 2023, he’s only confirming his status as a prospect to watch nationally. The 6’5 guard plays with fantastic pace and doesn’t allow pressure to speed him up into turnovers or bad plays. He can dial in from deep off the bounce as he did in transition during one game where he scored 10-straight points, six of which came from these sort of pull-ups on the break. He makes timely cuts without the ball and on instances where he had to floor it for 1-to-2 dribbles, he gets to his spots quickly. Scott was also impressive with his efforts on the glass and quickly locating streaking teammates before delivering baseball passes to them in stride.
Jed Barlow Jed Barlow 6'7" | PF Good Counsel | 2025 State MD | Good Counsel/Team Durant ’25
Barlow is a newer name to the DMV area by way of New Zealand and based off of his performance thus far, it’s safe to say that he will make an immediate impact for Good Counsel in the WCAC. Barlow brings good size at 6’7 and athleticism that comes with pop. His best performance of the day occurred on the main floor where he had a handful of dunks that he finished with power. Barlow also has the ability to find his mark from deep and create space well by utilizing step backs.
Silas Devonish Silas Devonish 5'9" | PG Bishop Ireton | 2026 State VA | Bishop Ireton/Team Durant ’26
Devonish made a name for himself with his production as a freshman in the WCAC. These sort of event are more catered to guards who can operate in isolations or ball screens with effectiveness. Devonish has been a challenge to stay in front of for opposing defenders and once he beats his man, his anticipation for finding the open man has been impressive. When off the ball, Devonish has been productive from the corners on catch and shoots from three. Defensively he has been active in passing lanes where he’s found causing deflections to spark fast breaks.
Miles Franklin Miles Franklin 6'6" | SF St Andrews Episcopal | 2025 State MD | Va Elite ’25
Franklin is a name that I think LM programs should make time for during the June Live Period. He brings plenty to the table at 6’5 and a threat to dribble, pass or score. I caught Franklin in action towards the end of the day where you could feel a bit of the energy in the gym begin to tone down. Franklin remained active and had several grab-and-go scenarios where he led the break himself for buckets or as the defense collapsed, kick out passes to his open shooters. When Franklin didn’t have the ball in the open floor, he ran the lanes and threw down a couple of lobs that caught the crowd’s attention.
Caden Chinnia-Falline Caden Chinnia-Falline 6'3" | SG John Carroll | 2025 State MD | John Carroll/Team Durant ’25
Since joining Team Durant on the EYBL Circuit, there has been more conversation surrounding Chinnia-Falline, a 6’3 combo guard. He looked solid in the drill portion of the camp on Friday evening and showed spurts throughout the gameplay that took place Saturday. He’s a capable shot maker when he is in rhythm who also has the quickness with his first step to get to the rim where he can finish with either hand.
Aaron Shoffner Aaron Shoffner 6'5" | PF St. John's Catholic Prep | 2026 State MD | St. John’s Catholic Prep/Maryland United ’26
Shoffner brings a strong, physical frame at 6’4 that allowed him to take advantage when opposing teams stuck guards on him to start the game. They’d quickly adjust once he bullied his way to the rim. Shoffner showed touch on his mid-range jumper as well when he wasn’t getting all the way to the cup. As expected, his physical traits translate into a plus rebounder as a guard/wing and combined with his motor, should make for a productive season ahead for St. John’s Catholic Prep.
JJ Massaquoi | DeMatha/Team Durant ’25
Massaquoi and Shoffner are similar in build and both are very well-versed in how to use their frames to take advantage. Massaquoi has the athleticism to finish above the rim when he gets his legs under him, but in this setting resorted more to scoring by way of drives, offensive rebounds and quick lay ups from dump-offs. He showcased his versatility as a defender on ball screens where he could switch onto bigs and not be exposed.
