Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Effective at breaking the game down in the half-court, he gets to different spots off the bounce with ease. He does a good job finding others for scoring opportunities within the flow of the offense and uses ball screens effectively to create. I like his scoring package and how he consistently finds different ways to put the ball in the basket. Projects more as a combo guard than a true point guard.

Originally hails from Maryland. Chinnia demonstrates assertiveness on offense and displays stronger capabilities as a shooting guard compared to point guard. He reliably scores and creates opportunities off the dribble, utilizing his solid build to manage physical contact efficiently.

Falline is a prospect I’m very familiar with after covering him throughout his four years at John Carroll. Now suiting up for Athletes in Action in a post-grad prep year, the 6-foot-3 guard has looked to add a big more his offensive skillset. He continues to become more confident operating on the ball as the primary ball-handler and did an nice job of breaking down his defender, maneuvering by rotating defenders in a variety of ways, and finishing with his off hand. Falline brings a quiet toughness to his game and you can see it when he initiates contacts on drives, rips 50/50s away in his favor, or crashing the glass among the bigs.

The most talented guard I saw all day, Chinnia-Falline has a good frame, quick burst, the ability to play at multiple speeds and change directions with the ball in his hands. Showcasing the potential to play on or off the ball from the guard position, I’d imagine Chinnia-Falline has some big-time scoring games but also has the potential to lead the team in assists as well. Expect college programs to be drawn to Chinnia-Falline when they see this AIA Prep team play either at practice or in a game.

Similar to Davis, Chinnia-Falline had stretches where he controlled the flow of the game as a scorer. Mostly working the midrange with nice polish to his footwork and shotmaking, he proved to be a tough cover for any defender thrown his way. He used his handle and physicality to counter smaller guards with strong finishes. Also showed nice facility as a playmaker, feeding Clark for a number of easy finishes. A proven commodity in the BCL, Chinnia-Falline should attract scholarship-level interest into the spring.

-Love the development in his senior year as a CG that is much more comfortable on the ball creating shots for himself and teammates. Chinnia-Falline had a smooth drive and drop off to the big on the opposite block, got 2 feet in the paint and hit a corner shooter with a great chest pass, got his team going in transition, and is using a reverse pivot much better to create easier passing angles when he gets into the heart of the defense in the paint. He also showed his 3-level scoring ability with a face up 3 off the DHO, relocated to the corner to get a skip pass and hit the corner 3, hit a midrange jumper from the elbow, and hit a pair of FTs after getting fouled on a rebound to put the game away late. Interested to see where the available 2025 guard ends up!

-The junior guard has been the most consistent perimeter scoring option alongside Able, he continued to do that against SFA but also showed some play-making ability off the bounce by getting his bigs involved early. His ability to get a bucket without needing a ball screen makes him an invaluable piece to this young JC team.

Chinnia-Falline continues to impress with his ability to score from the perimeter but he is starting to fill out the stat sheet on a nightly basis, finishing with 22p 4a 2r 1b 1s in the win. He makes defenses pay for going under screens but has a tight enough handle and wiggle to duck under defensive closeouts and get to the paint to score. As his handle continues to progress I expect to see him find teammates more often off the bounce and show college coaches how well-rounded of a prospect he can be.

What are college coaches looking for? HS basketball players that have good feel but can also fill it up offensively, guys that can create their own offense are hard to find and Chinnia fits that bill. The 6’3 CG can get into his pull-up off of either hand in the midrange and did so efficiently, going on a personal 8-0 that gave Carroll a much-needed lead in the 2Q. Although he can get his own shot off the dribble inside and outside of the arc, he used that scoring gravity to get two feet into the paint and find his shooters on the opposite wing for assists. His ability to decelerate in transition allows him to get into his jumper quickly and makes it difficult to stay with him as a defender. Definitely a name for college coaches to track in 2025.
