SubscribeThe shooting ability in today’s game is something that every team needs to have to be successful in the modern day of basketball. You have every position looking to take the deep shots which shows just how fast the evolution of the game has come. We will look at players from this class that can shoot from all over the court with a deep range from behind the arc. Here are my top sharpshooters for the 2024 class part II.
Seals is as pure of a shooter as they come in today’s game. His quick smooth shot along with him being 6’4″ makes it difficult to get a contest on him. Seals is always moving even without the basketball looking to come off of off-ball screens for catch-and-shoot opportunities. He can hit the pull-up three with ease even with strong defenses in front of him. Seals made 70 threes this past season and that number will look to go way up as he heads into his senior year.
Konov is your modern-day stretch four that every team would love to have. He sells the shot fake well with defenders flying by him in the air so he can take the open shot. Konov is automatic from the corners, especially off the catch-and-shoot situations. He’s got unlimited range and must be guarded from all over the court. Since Konov is a power forward he’s able to draw bigger defenders away from the paint allowing his teammates to get easy shots in the lane.
Dorset has all the confidence in the world to take any shot he wants. He is great at breaking down a defender and hitting the stepback three-point shot. Dorset will look to come off of the pick-n-roll for an open three or look to set up his teammates down low. He has a high release making it hard to contest his shots. His excellent ability to shoot off the catch-and-shoot is what stands out along with his deep range well beyond the arc.
Abdullah is a lefty shooter that has such a sweet shot that looks effortless once he releases the ball. He loves his wing shots and can use his handles to step back more for a deeper shot. Abdullah is consistent off the catch-and-shoot when it comes to the corner shots. He is great at coming off the pick-n-roll or pick-n-pop when looking to either take the open shot or hit his diving screener in the paint or behind the arc.
Kipnis has an insanely fast release allowing him to get the shot off in almost any situation. He is always getting his feet set no matter how crazy the pressure of a defense can get to him. Kipnis can hit the pull-up three in transition with full confidence making it seem easy. He loves his catch-and-shoot shots and can even hit the deep shots well way behind the arc. Kipnis made 86 threes last season.
