Abdullah is a speedy guard who can be a handful on defense. He can lock up anyone on the perimeter because of his timing when looking to strip the ball away from players. He moves laterally well giving players zero room to go anywhere on him. On the fastbreak, Abdullah will look to chase down players to poke the ball free using his speed to come up with multiple steals in a game. Look for Abdullah to continue to lockdown players this season.

Abdullah is a sharpshooter from downtown that must be guarded the second he passes the half-court line due to his deep range. He likes the catch-and-shoot from the wings but can put the ball on the floor to create extra space for a more open shot. Abdullah can get to the rim and finish nicely with both hands challenging taller defenders. He crashes the glass extremely well for a point guard, leading many of the fastbreak situations for his team.

Abdullah is a lefty shooter that has such a sweet shot that looks effortless once he releases the ball. He loves his wing shots and can use his handles to step back more for a deeper shot. Abdullah is consistent off the catch-and-shoot when it comes to the corner shots. He is great at coming off the pick-n-roll or pick-n-pop when looking to either take the open shot or hit his diving screener in the paint or behind the arc.

Abdullah has an effortless lefty jump shot that seems like it goes in every time it leaves his hands. He likes to play fast and in transition, a lot of the time as that’s where he does most of his damage. Abdullah is a great rebounder at the guard position also. He’s even crafty in the paint at drawing fouls so he can generate more free-throw opportunities. Abdullah will have a big season next year with more opportunities.
