For this series of articles, I will be taking a look into each conference to see where some seniors are headed to play. These might not be everyone playing at the next level, these are guys who have announced it or that I’ve been able to find. Some of these players have yet to finalize their decision. There are tons of more players who will be playing at the next level too.
Evan Solomon – Shorecrest HS
Evan has a solid frame and attacks the ball solid with either hand. He has a nice mid-range jumper and finds his spots nicely. His lateral movement is improving so his defensive game will be able to translate to the next level. Evan will be attending Whatcom CC to further his basketball career.
David Zachman David Zachman 6'5" | SF Arlington | 2023 State WA – Arlington HS
David has a huge frame down low in the paint and plays forcefully. He is aggressive on offense and defense, getting rebounds often and attacking the ball well. He has great footwork down low, being able to display solid post moves with the ball down low. Zachman has yet to make his final decision, but holds offers from George Fox University, Pacific Lutheran University, and others.
Parker Baumann Parker Baumann 6'5" | CG Shorecrest | 2023 State WA – Shorecrest HS
Parker is a player who can change a program. He is one of the best leaders on and off the court I have seen. He is very communicative when on the court, with or without the ball. He scores at all 3 levels smoothly and will see his game translate to the next level with ease. Parker has yet to make his final decision, but holds offers to North Platte CC and others.
Keegan Williams Keegan Williams 6'4" | SG Lynnwood | 2023 State WA – Lynnwood HS
Keegan has great size, standing at roughly 6’5″. He is smooth with the ball, being able to fins his spots nicely. He brings a lot of energy and leadership to the court and has improved his deep shot quite a bit. He is still improving his games in many ways as he heads to Evergreen State College to further his career.
Hayden Creswell Hayden Creswell 6'4" | SF Monroe | 2023 WA – Monroe HS
Hayden had a huge senior year at Monroe and improved on the court quite a bit. He has a lanky frame which helps him rebound and help him play solid defense. He hits the mid-range shot effectively when driving and pulling up. He can run the court well too. Hayden will be headed to Whatcom CC next season.
Chris Meegan – Mountlake Terrace HS
Chris is a gritty guard who gives his all every time he is on the court. His lefty shot is effective and he can drive to the hoop really well with either hand. He plays hard on defense, hustling hard every play. Chris has yet to make his decision but will choose from Prestige Worldwide Academy, Edmonds CC, and others.
Hayden Conaxis Hayden Conaxis 6'6" | SF Everett | 2023 State WA – Everett HS
Hayden stands at 6’6″ and stretches out the floor well. He can step out and hit the three at a high rate. He has a high motor, running the court in transition smoothly and being relentless on the boards. Hayden’s game will translate to the next level with ease, he has yet to make his decision yet. He holds offers from Edmonds CC and others.
Daniel Savovic Daniel Savovic 6'0" | CG Everett | 2023 State WA – Everett HS
Daniel has a complete game. He has improved a tremendous amount since the beginning of his senior year. He has displayed his ability to be a floor general and find his open teammates. He leads by example and his fellow teammates feed off of it. Daniel will be headed to Rose-Halman Insitute of Technology.
Luke Blachly Luke Blachly 6'4" | SF Archbishop Murphy | 2023 State WA – Archbishop-Murphy HS
Luke is a player who I really enjoyed watching. He has a very high IQ and knows his game very well. He rarely makes the wrong decision and is a true leader on the court. Luke has a great deep shot that will have no problem translating to the D3 level. Blachly is attending Cornell College next season.
Sylas Williams Sylas Williams 6'6" | SF Jackson | 2023 State WA – Jackson HS
Sylas is one of the most intriguing prospects in the entire 2023 class. He played phenomenal all season and is a top player in the class. He held his own against some of the best talent in the state and showcased his abilities to be the main option on a squad. He finishes nicely down low and can step out to his the three. Williams has yet to make his decision but has offers from Tacoma CC and others.
Josiah Pierre Josiah Pierre 6'5" | SF Kamiak | 2023 State WA – Kamiak HS
Josiah is arguably the best player that didn’t make the state tournament last season, maybe out of any class. Pierre has great length standing at 6’5″ and knows how to use his body well to his advantage. He has solid handles that he keeps close to his body and can hit his jumpers from anywhere, smoothly. Josiah has offers from Edmonds CC, Bellevue CC, Tacoma CC, Whatcom CC, Pacific Lutheran University, and others.
