One of the more complete guards in the state, Padilla continues to produce. He picked his spots offensively, becoming more and more comfortable as a distributor. Including rifling some great passes to teammates with precision and velocity. While he can still fill it up in spurts, the improved patience and overall feel in the halfcourt have been great additions to his toolset.
Jamarie Dubose
Jamarie Dubose
Perhaps the most promising display by the high flying prospect came when he attempted a putback dunk shortly after the whistle was blown. It was proof that Dubose has seriously hops. And he used them to be a force on the glass all game long. While also being a great finisher around the rim, even breaking out a nifty switch hand finish at one point. Motor and athleticism are a great combination as a building block.
De’Von Wallace
De’Von Wallace
Shooter alert. After hitting a couple big threes during Broken Arrow’s state tournament games, the 2025 sharpshooter has been back at it this spring. Wallace is expected to step into a bigger role for the Tigers, as they look to remain a factor in 6A. The reps he’s earning now will be valuable for potential success this winter.
Terry Jones
Terry Jones
Team Movement has a deep group of guards that can create own their shot, and at times on Saturday they were rolling with quality looks off the dribble. But in the final minute they found themselves trailing by one, Jones was the guard who stepped up. He attacked the rim, earning a trip to the line. Where he hit the go-ahead free throw to deliver the victory for his squad.
Tate Tipler
Tate Tipler
Another floor general with “juice” to his game, Tipler has great handles and the change of direction ability to match. He’s a terror in transition, with the ability to push it to set up scoring opportunities. While also able to get by opponents in the halfcourt as well.
Buckingham had it going from distance in an afternoon victory. Including a couple makes from well beyond the arc. But it was more than just long range bombing that made him stand out. The 2024 lead guard has looked more comfortable off the dribble, especially when getting to his spots and hitting in the mid-range.
Ethan Charleston
Ethan Charleston
Last year at a few Circuit events, Charleston stood out as an energetic, scrappy defender. In an afternoon victory, he showed off his improvement over the last year. Along with hitting from distance, he broke out a smooth floater, allowing him to score more efficiently at the rim.
Keshawn Myles
Keshawn Myles
A passionate player, Myles was the key to Blueprint Elite nearly pulling off an improbable comeback. The youngster can play through contact, with one tough score that possibly should’ve been an “And 1”. He was undeterred with the no call, immediately going back to work. The next time down earning the harm and eventually converting an old fashion three point play, brining his squad within one score late in the contest. With solid size and obvious heart, the youngster is a player to keep tabs on.
The high motor big man was crucial in a second half rally attempt by Legacy. Throughout the whole game he was active around the glass, but he also showed his athletchism with a pair of late rim rocking slams, before Legacy would fall short in their Saturday morning contest.
