David Bolden David Bolden 6'0" | PG Nicolet | 2025 State WI – 2025 – PG – Power 5
Easy to appreciate the way Bolden runs the show from the point guard spot. The Nicolet product plays with a lot of talent and isn’t consumed with getting his own shots, but when he needs to, Bolden can rise to the occasion offensively. Probably not going to be a guy that scores a ton of points at the AAU level, but is integral to his team’s success. A steady, calming presence on the floor, Bolden gets his guys the ball in positions to be successful. He’s a rare breed of a point guard these days and just does a lot of the things you want from this position.
Highlights
Chris Davis Jr. – 2025 – W – Power 5
Davis was terrific and consistent for Power 5 all weekend. The Sun Prairie West standout will make a big move in the rankings after his performance. Davis shot the ball really well from 3-point range, particularly in transition and in isolation. The 6-foot-3 wing plays much bigger than his size and although he’s scoring-minded, does have some playmaking and facilitating skills as well. Davis really uses his strong frame well at the rim too. The kid just doesn’t feel bumps at the rim and has some rare ability to adjust his shot late, even though he’s not necessarily playing above the basket.
Cooper Grams – 2024 – PG – 24UP
Grams looks like one of the most improved players in the state right now. Really like the way Grams runs the point guard position, able to impact things as a scorer and a facilitator. He made defenses pay for breakdowns in coverage throughout the weekend. A skilled and savvy lead guard with blow-by ability on the ball and a quick shooting stroke, Grams showed he has some pick-your-poison type ability offensively. With Sussex Hamilton losing a number of key pieces from last season, think Grams has a chance to be one of the bigger breakout players in the state this winter.
Highlights
Caleb Polling Caleb Polling 6'4" | SF Mukwonago | 2025 State WI – 2025 – F -24UP
Definitely like Poling’s game. The first thing that stands out is his body type. Poling has a nice blend of strength and length, giving him the ability to be a stretch forward who can play a little bigger than his size and protect the rim/rebound. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has a sweet stroke from the outside and is effective in the pick n’ pop game. He’s got some budding mismatch ability as well, able to put the ball on the deck a bit and pull other forwards away from the rim. Currently on our watch list, think Poling is a prospect worthy of a ranking next time around.
Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6'6" | SF Homestead | 2025 State WI – 2025 – SF – Mac Irvin Fire
Polite really gave Mac Irvin Fire a boost on Sunday during their run to the 16U title. A two-way player that doesn’t need a ton of shots to be effective, Polite starred defensively and also knocked down his open shots on the other end. An emerging sophomore prospect with a high upside, the 6-foot-5 wing has all-around ability, a sweet shooting stroke, and a long, athletic frame which should contribute to a nice long-term trajectory. We’ve said this a few times over the past several months, but Polite is a prospect that’s starting to find himself.
Sean Ladwig Sean Ladwig 6'4" | SG Catholic Memorial | 2024 State WI – 2024 – SG – MTXE Premier
Caught two of Ladwig’s games live and watched a replay on film. Just think there’s a lot of untapped potential here. Catholic Memorial had a lot of seniors on last season’s squad. Think Ladwig can take things over as a senior. A long, sneaky athletic guard, Ladwig brings a lot to the table. Maybe not a guy that shines in any particular area, but he’s well-rounded and doesn’t have glaring holes in his game. Ladwig spent a lot of time with two feet in the paint where he could determine whether or not to get a high-percentage shot or create something easy for a teammate. At 6-3/6-4, Ladwig’s got the tools to play anywhere on the perimeter and even brings the ball up as the primary decision-maker at times.
