Nigro is one of the most functionally strong players I’ve evaluated and a guard who lives at the free throw line. Not afraid of contact, Nigro gets into defender’s bodies first and then creates contact to get foul calls when attacking the basket. Able to finish with both hands at the rim, this keeps defenders guessing where Nigro is going to attack when he’s driving downhill. An inconsistent shooter, if Nigro can consistently make 3-pointers then his scoring upside as a senior and at the next level will take a jump. I think Nigro makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and can run some secondary action in the pick and roll and even occasionally run point at the college level, which would help defensively with his size. A scholarship level prospect, I expect Division II and NAIA schools to be interested in Nigro this spring and summer.

When discussing the best shooters in the state, you can’t mention too many names before Shultz gets a nod. Shooting 51.7% from 3-point range on 172 attempts this season, those numbers are absolutely outrageous. I want to see Shultz improve physically and it’ll be interesting to see how he plays after Perrysburg graduated a core group of seniors that were rock solid and helped them have one of their best years in school history during the 2022-23 season. If Shultz can continue to put up efficient shooting numbers as a senior without that help, his stock will only continue to rise.
One of the top scorers in the Columbus city league, Foster helped Mifflin have a very competitive season in that conference. Foster averaged 17 PPG and 6 RPG on 43% shooting as a Junior. Foster has good size and can create his own shot from isolation situations. A decent athlete and an excellent student, Foster should be an option for high academic programs, go check him out with Buckeye State Elite this spring and summer.

Gallogly impressed at the Midwest Basketball Club Showcase where he shot the ball from 3-point range at an extremely high level. Gallogly averaged 13 PPG as a Junior in just 14 games due to an injury. I’m always impressed by Gallogly’s IQ and toughness when I watch him and expect small college programs to love the intangibles he brings to his team.
