Louisville has been a team that’s received a lot of love from us this season and for good reason. Nigro recently stood out in a win over Lutheran East and earned his first offer from Concord after the game. A strong guard who wants to get downhill and use his strength to bully you in the paint, Nigro has a unique style of play that has been effective at both the high school and grassroots level. Once he gets a head of steam to the basket, he’s either scoring or headed to the free throw line. Expect to see more programs like Concord take interest to Nigro as his senior season winds down.

Returning from a trip to Florida, Louisville was a little slow to pull away from the host Tallmadge but still managed to win comfortably. Nigro did what he usually does, which is attack the rim with a lot of aggression. Able to score through contact off one or two feet, Nigro is a load to stop in the paint. I expect scholarship programs to continue to come check out Louisville for their 2024 and 2025 talent.

This Louisville pair were on the same team and showed off their chemistry together. The biggest thing I noticed about Nigro on Saturday was his confidence as a 3-point shooter off the catch. That’s been the biggest skill improvement that he needed to make and based on Saturday, he appears more confident from 3-point range and hit a high percentage of those looks. He’s always been tough to stop at the rim with his functional strength and he had more than a handful of right handed finishes through contact. A name to watch for regional scholarship programs.

Nigro had an impressive performance in a back-and-forth game against
Shining Star
Price (White) in the one game his Midwest Basketball Club Cleveland squad dropped in pool play. Steadily working on his catch-and-shoot game, Nigro converted on two triples in the one game I caught. One of the more impressive plays of the day came when Nigro attacked the rim and made a nasty reverse layup with his right hand. A strong player, defenders consistently bounce off Nigro when he’s attacking the paint leading to tons of free throw opportunities for Nigro. I thought the pair of Nigro and

were impressive in that game, as Morgan showed some impressive attacks of closeouts and finishes at the rim.

A talented 6’4″ left guard was excellent all weekend long while helping lead Midwest Basketball Club 2024 Cleveland to an undefeated 4-0 record. Nigro capped things off on Sunday with a 25-point performance, but he was consistently very good in each win. Definitely a prospect that the Ohio small college programs are going to be coming after in a major way.

Nigro comes in ranked as a Top 50 prospect in Ohio’s Class of 2024 after averaging an impressive 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for Louisville High School. The smooth 6’4″ guard will be playing Midwest Basketball Club-Cleveland. He shows the potential to be a three-level scorer with solid length on the perimeter. Should have several college programs keeping an eye on him.

Nigro is one of the most functionally strong players I’ve evaluated and a guard who lives at the free throw line. Not afraid of contact, Nigro gets into defender’s bodies first and then creates contact to get foul calls when attacking the basket. Able to finish with both hands at the rim, this keeps defenders guessing where Nigro is going to attack when he’s driving downhill. An inconsistent shooter, if Nigro can consistently make 3-pointers then his scoring upside as a senior and at the next level will take a jump. I think Nigro makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and can run some secondary action in the pick and roll and even occasionally run point at the college level, which would help defensively with his size. A scholarship level prospect, I expect Division II and NAIA schools to be interested in Nigro this spring and summer.
