How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?
-I think we performed great ! A lot of people counted us out but we came together at the right time.
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?
-The biggest obstacle was just sacrificing self for TEAM. We had a lot of guys that could’ve easily averaged 15-20ppg at other schools but a state championship was the overall goal for all of us.
What do you think you improved most on the court?
-Leadership and sacrificing my individual play.
What are you looking to improve before the next level?
-I would like to just get stronger and take contact better.
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?
-J.Stew, Legend, Emmett, Rell definitely all stood out and several other guys at key moments. I definitely see Stew & Legend having break out years they just want it and have a certain hunger that’s rare on the high school level.
How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?
-Our team completely exceeded our expectations. although every team has state in their mind and wants to win a championship which was our program as well , as a group we felt like did very well and played very well together.
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?
-The biggest obstacle we faced during the season I felt like was mental toughness. there were some times where our team would be in a position where we would need to tap into our mentally tough side and finish strong but sometimes we came up short due to that.
What do you think you improved most on the court?
-I think my biggest improvement was my ability to rebound. I haven’t been the best rebounder my entire career until i set a goal for myself this season to average at least 8 rebounds per game and at my height it’s a little difficult. I ended up blowing that out the water and finished my season averaging 10.4 rebounds( except that stat went down to 9.7 during post season)
What are you looking to improve before the next level?
-I’m looking to improve my shot. I feel like as a shooter your shot always needs to be worked on to maintain the ability to shoot. It’s a necessity in the game and to not be able to shoot us a big problem.
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?
-The two guys that stood out to me the most were Hunter Klumpar and Griffin Clevenger. Hunter being a developing wing and griffin being a super shifty pg , I think they are 100% due for a breakout season. They both are smart kids who are able to deliver when needed.
How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?
-I thought we preformed really good and exceeded the expectations especially with loosing so many seniors from last season.
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?
-I think the biggest obstacle we faced was our loss to Mountlake Terrace in late December and the way we bounced back from that was great.
What do you think you improved most on the court?
-I think the thing I improved most on this season on the court was my shooting but also my leadership for my team as a captain.
What are you looking to improve before the next level?
I am definitely working to improve my ball handling and also my shooting even more as I reach the next level.
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?
-I think obviously Leyton Martin Leyton Martin 6’0″ | PG Arlington | 2025 State WA was a huge contributor scoring a lot and passing the ball amazing but I think one of our teammates who went a little more unnoticed was Ty Rusko with his defensive presence and intensity but also the leadership he brought to our team, everybody looked up to him including myself. I think Leyton Martin Leyton Martin 6’0″ | PG Arlington | 2025 State WA is gonna be very scary in the coming years but also Jackson Trotter Jackson Trotter 6’0″ | CG Arlington | 2025 State WA and Jake Willis, I really Arlington will have one of the toughest backcourts next season and especially the season following that.
How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season?rn-I think the true definition of success isn’t where you finish, it is whether or not you maximized your potential. This year I played well, but I constantly feel that I could’ve done better. Our team however did a great job maximizing our potential as a group.
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?rn-The biggest obstacle I personally faced was getting super aggressive defensive coverages. Double teamed, things like that. The biggest obstacle we faced as a team, was injuries. They took a toll on our team this year big time.
What do you think you improved most on the court?rn-I improved my change of pace and ability to make reads.
What are you looking to improve before next season?rn-Getting to two feet, being solid. No turnovers. Just being super efficient.
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?rn-Theo, Jamie, Josh, Jace, Chillian, everybody played such a big role this year. Jace, Ethan and Nyima could have a really big impact on winning next year.
