Heri Sefu Bukinga
One of the most dominant paint presences throughout Saturday, it’s scary how much more room Bukinga has to grow to be a truly elite player. Already possessing elite size and strength, the big man uses that to a tee clearing out his matchup to finish down low.
Will Shortt
Will Shortt
Shortt could have easily fallen under my “Wings” category for this weekend, but his rim-running and ability to finish near the basket is why I categorized him as a “Big.” A fluid athlete, Shortt is also a great rebounder and defender with his 6-7 frame, possessing the versatility to guard multiple positions and block shots at ease.
Augustine Mensah
Augustine Mensah
Mensah is as big-time an athlete as they come with his combination of size and sheer force in the paint. And while his athleticism is elite, it was his motor that really stood out to me on Saturday. It seemed like the big man was contesting nearly every shot, whether he was within the area or not to get a hand up. Mensah will fight for every single rebound, whether he has a chance to get the miss or not.
Kyden Wiley
Kyden Wiley
As just a rising junior, there is no telling the amount of potential Wiley has. With pogo sticks for legs, Wiley registered multiple blocks using his bounce and discipline to wait for just the right moment. On the rare occasion he doesn’t reject the opponents shot, he’ll likely grab the miss and take it coast to coast on the other end.
