Continue ReadingDJ Stephens is a young player with a high ceiling that will be on full display this Summer. Stephens is a shifty guard that is very dynamic when it comes to creating his own shot off the dribble. With a tight handle and quick pull up DJ is always a danger to get going behind the arc, and as soon as defenses start to overplay the jumper the shifty guard gets crafty attacking the rim with a wide arsenal of finishes to get the job done. Stephens is a player to watch specifically due to his fearlessness and confidence at a young age no matter who he’s facing there is one thing on his mind, and that’s to get buckets.
Kobe Freeman Kobe Freeman 5’11” | PG Purcell | 2025 State OK is a prime position to have a breakout summer and here’s why. Freeman is an exponential role player for Purcell that understands his job and does it night in and night out. Kobe is not a necessarily primary option for the offense but when he touches the ball he is very efficient from behind the arc and on the break. Shooting the ball with confidence and getting out on the break allows Freeman to be a spark for his team especially with the motor he plays with. Combined with awareness on the defensive end consistently coming up with steals to initiate the fast break, Freeman is patient with the game allowing the offense to come to him rarely forcing which is a rare trait in a young player with plenty room to develop and become a lethal option for Purcell in the future.
Triston Driver Triston Driver 6’0″ | PG Bixby | 2025 State OK is a confident skilled guard that thrives in the big moments. Driver is a great facilitator for the Spartans but has no hesitation to let the ball fly from the behind the arc with a high clip. What makes Triston such a lethal shooter is the fact that he is just as strong on the catch and shoot as he is on the shot off the dribble only needing a sliver of separation to rise up and knock it down. Driver is a pace controller on both ends of the floor and not afraid to lead vocally. Triston loves to harass opponents on the defensive end and never lets up even when playing off the ball. Look for his stock to rise this summer as he continues to elevate his game.
