4. Juan Guerrero Hernandez Juan Guerrero Hernandez 6'3" | CG Grafton | 2025 State #189 Nation WI (Grafton)
Previous 8
This kid is going to blow up fast. Guerrero Hernandez put up 19 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game while playing alongside another Division 1 guard. Guerrero Hernandez has exciting positional size at 6-foot-3, explosive handles even in the halfcourt, and a well-rounded game to impact both ends of the floor. Albany and Milwaukee have both offered the Grafton standout heading into the spring.
8. Jamarion Batemon Jamarion Batemon 6'3" | CG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2025 State #174 Nation WI (Milwaukee Academy of Science)
Previous 16
Always knew Batemon could shoot. What put him up in the rankings was on the other end of the floor. Was taken back a bit in the playoffs by Batemon’s willingness to defend players much bigger than him and generate stops. Leading MAS back to the state tournament, Batemon averaged 21 points per game, while shooting 44.4 percent from 3-point range. Without a doubt, this is one of the state’s premier snipers. Batemon has legit in-the-gym range and along with combo guard ability.
10. Will Garlock Will Garlock 6'11" | C Middleton | 2025 State #204 Nation WI (Middleton)
Previous 14
Really liked Garlock’s makeup in the two games I saw this season. The 6-foot-10 forward might be a bigger version of Will Hornseth Will Hornseth 6'8" | PF De Pere | 2024 State #208 Nation WI when all is said and done — broad shoulders, terrific back-to-the-basket game, does his work early in the post, fundamentally sound, controls the glass, budding versatility, etc. As a sophomore, Garlock averaged 11 points and six rebounds per game as a sophomore. Don’t want to call him a late bloomer, but think Garlock’s best days are still down the road and he could take off in a year or two with a lot of work.
15. Elijah Griffin Elijah Griffin 6'1" | PG Westosha Central | 2025 State #352 Nation WI (Westosha Central)
Previous: 20
This 2025 class is deep with a lot of Division 1 talent. In other classes, you’d see a guy like Griffin ranked quite a bit higher. Think Griffin has started to cement himself as a premier guard in this group. Leading a Westosha Central program that was supposed to be decimated by graduation after last season, Griffin led the Falcons to a Southern Lakes Conference title and nearly got them back to the state tournament. Griffin averaged 14 points and seven assists per game. Arguably the best passer in this class, Griffin’s feel for the game takes a back seat to no one in 2025.
20. Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6'6" | SF Homestead | 2025 State WI (Homestead)
Previous: 24
Polite is slowly gaining confidence and starting to believe in his talent. The 6-foot-5 wing had a terrific second half of the season for Homestead and is still just scratching the surface. Polite averaged 11 points, seven rebounds, and three assists per game on a fairly deep and experienced Homestead squad. An athletic slasher, Polite also shows flashes with his outside shooting ability, defensive versatility, and floor vision in transition. He’s definitely got top 10-15 potential by his senior year.
No. 22 Jack Lutz Jack Lutz 6'0" | SG Whitnall | 2025 State WI (Whitnall)
Previous 32
Lutz is one of the top scorers in this class. The sophomore guard was just lethal for Whitnall this season, averaging 17 points per game. A shot creator that isn’t fazed by physical defense or a hand in his face, Lutz just flat out gets buckets. While he’s a bit undersized, Lutz is sneaky athletic, able to hang and finish around the rim. The Falcons lost their top two scorers from last season, including a high major forward, but Lutz’s emergence was one of the biggest reasons why Whitnall won a league title and reached the Division 2 state title game.
Highlights
No. 23 Chris Davis Jr. Chris Davis Jr. 5'10" Madison East | 2025 State WI
Previous: 31
Davis Jr. had a monster sophomore season, putting up 24 points per game. A bigger guard who uses his body well to create space and power through contact, Davis shot 52 percent from inside the arc. At 6-foot-3, Davis also hit 49 3-pointers in just 22 games. Davis also brings a physical nature to the defensive end as well. Perhaps commits too many fouls, but thought he was very active throughout the season, getting on the glass, trying to get his hands on the basketball, and not being a bystander on that end of the floor.
No. 31 Jackson Accuardi Jackson Accuardi 6'6" | SF Deforest | 2025 State WI (De Forest)
Previous: NR
A player that appears to be arriving sooner than expected, Accuardi had a promising sophomore season for the Norskies after flashing late last summer. A 6-foot-6 combo forward with versatility, Accuardi averaged 14 points and seven rebounds per game as a sophomore. Accuardi has mismatch nightmare potential, able to take smaller wings down in the post. He shot over 60 percent from the field last season and also spaced the floor by connecting on 33 triples and shooting nearly 40 percent from downtown. He can handle the ball a bit and be an inside-outside threat on offense.
