Brishawn Haywood Brishawn Haywood 6’2″ | CG Cary | 2023 State NC is a late-blooming guard prospect that did well in his senior season at Cary High in 2022-23. He’s an aggressive-minded guard that can operate off the bounce, making sound decisions as a shooter/slasher in the mid-range game. At 6-foot-2, he’s got enough length and athleticism to make defenders uncomfortable with the ball in his hands. College coaches at all levels would be wise to take a look at him given his abilities on both ends.
Highlights
Camden Taylor Camden Taylor 5’10” | SG Franklinton | 2023 State NC is an aggressive combo guard at Franklinton High that boosted their backcourt attack in 2022-23. He’s capable of creating off the bounce, getting to the paint and making things happen in traffic as well as making plays for others in space (2.2 apg in 2022-23). He’s another late-blooming prospect that DIII and JUCO programs should get eyes on out of the Henderson area.
Pierce Leonard Pierce Leonard 5’10” | CG Eastern Randolph | 2023 State NC was another pivotal piece in the Eastern Randolph Wildcats run to the 2A State Title game with his exploits as a playmaker and shooter on the perimeter. He’s a new face in the rankings for DII and DIII schools to get eyes on after producing 11.7 ppg, 4.1 apg, 3.7 spg and 3.2 rpg as the Wildcats took the area by storm and in conference play with a 29-3 record on year. He’s a scrappy two-way presence on the floor that can find his rhythm in space when given opportunities.
Jamarri Williams Jamarri Williams 6’1″ | CG JF Webb | 2023 State NC was quite the star in the JF Webb rotation this season as their leading scorer in the rotation. The 6-foot-1 guard led the way for the Warriors with 19.1 ppg while shooting 48 percent from the field and 39 percent from 3-point land to close out his high school career. He’s a sharp-shooter that can also make an impact on the boards as well for DIII and JUCOs to get eyes on.
Le’Shaun Jackson Le’Shaun Jackson 5’10” | PG Washington County | 2023 State NC led the Washington County Panthers to quite a productive season as they went 23-3 on the season and 14-1 in conference action. He led the way for the Panthers on the scoring (15.2 ppg) and playmaking (5.8 apg) front to show he could control pace and make things happen with the ball in his hands. He showed he could be an efficient presence around the mid-range/painted area as well, shooting 59 percent from the floor. He’s a name for DIII and JUCO programs to get eyes on out of the Plymouth, NC area.
