Mike can get it done on the defensive end and will go in the paint and battle on the boards. Against Coronado he was able to come up with 9 rebounds and chipped in, in the scoring column as well. Riehl does a lot of his work on the inside and when he gets into the paint he can be a problem for opposing defenses. McCune was getting himself into the right position all night and came away with a lot of nice plays and easy transition points. McCune was also feeling it from three as he knocked down a couple to try and help keep his team in the game. On the defensive end Sims sags off and plays the passing lane waiting for his opportunity to knock the ball out and get into the fast break on quick transitions. Sims is averaging 2.1 steals per game while also having a block per game as well. Sims shows the ability to get after it on both ends of the court and can be a scorer when he gets the opportunity. Sims plays good defense in the paint and can affect shots even against the taller players in the paint.
