Therry Theresias

An all-around defensive specialist, Theresias causes issues for offenses just by being in the vicinity. With his 6-4 frame, the junior uses that length to be a true ball-hawk to disrupt the offense anytime a pass is fired. Theresias crashes the glass with a purpose, and even the few times he doesn’t handle the miss, he will ensure that somebody on his team does by tipping it in their direction.
Keegan Duquette
Keegan Duquette
Cypress Lake felt every inch of Duquette’s 6-9 frame on Thursday. An interior force, the junior center uses that length superbly anytime somebody steps foot in his paint. But what impressed me the most about his game is anytime somebody ‘attempted’ to post him up, Duquette uses his wide frame just about as well as one can to force ill-advised passes leading to steals for Parrish Community. Anytime shots go up, expect Duquette to corral it at the balls highest point, not allowing anybody to even have a chance to scoop up the miss.
Joe Silva
Joe Silva
I was truly torn on which list I wanted to put Silva on, that’s how much his game stood out to me on Thursday. On the offensive end, Silva has a buttery jumper that knocked down several times from mid-range and three-point range. But defensively is truly where the junior guard shines. Always disrupting the flow of the offense with his activity and quick reaction times, Silva seems to always be in the heat of the action due to his non-stop movement.
A new addition to the Panthers roster after transferring all the way from Minnesota before the season, Ochan is a force on the perimeter defensively. The sophomore’s quick hands leads to easy steals, whether it’s from sneaking up behind and poking the ball free, or using his athleticism to fly into passing lanes and intercept it that way. What’s most impressive is Ochan ability to always put himself in a great position, hardly ever taking a bad angle or putting himself out of position defensively.
