Lamont Hamilton Jr.
Lamont Hamilton Jr.
St. Cats is one of the most storied basketball programs in the state, and this year they have a loaded 2026 class with four freshmen who have seen varsity minutes. That class features Lamont who from the very first game of the season was making a big impact. In the first game of his varsity career Lamont scored 20 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a win over The Prairie School. He ended up missing some time with an injury, and shook off some rust coming back from it, but has been a key player for the Angels over the past few weeks. He’s an impressive athlete who can get to the rim at will, and is capable of either finishing or dishing it off once in the paint. Although he hasn’t attempted a high volume, the lefty has also shot it at 42% from 3P on 22 attempts. Most recently Hamilton finished with 14 points and hit a last second game winner against a tough Martin Luther team.
Eddie Vinson Jr.

EJ has seen time in 11 games this season for one of the state’s top D3 teams. He has elite quickness and utilizes it well with his ability to change speeds on the ball. Has a nose for the rim and even at his size has no problem going up against bigger players and finishing. Also someone that you can’t afford to give too much space too as he possesses a smooth pull-up jumper. Scoring 3.2 ppg in limited minutes with a season high of 7 against The Prairie School.
Sam Pitrof
Sam Pitrof
Racine Lutheran has a nice group of young players to build around, with Sam Pitrof among that group. At 6’1 he already has solid size as a guard, and has been averaging 8.3 ppg while competing in the always tough Metro Classic Conference. Sam looks like a composed finisher who does well to go off two feet around the paint. On film he’s shown the ability to finish in a variety of ways inside, and looks comfortable doing so with both hands. Hasn’t shot the ball well from three, but has a nice looking jumper so that could potentially be chalked up to a shooting slump or small sample size. Either way he has a few years to get those numbers up, and the early signs are promising for this 2026 prospect. Pitrof also chips in with 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Isaiah Cosey
Isaiah Cosey
Isaiah is another freshman guard making an impact for Racine Lutheran. The lefty has a nose for the ball on defense, with quick hands and the ability to jump passes that allow for him to pick up a good amount of steals. Excels at turning those steals into instant offense going the other way with his speed in the open floor. Scoring 3.8 ppg on the year but has scored 29 over his last three games.
Michael Farr
Michael Farr
Michael is an impressive two-sport athlete who was also on the varsity football roster at Horlick. This winter he has been a key player off the bench on the hardwood, as he’s a shifty guard with no fear attacking the basket. Gifted all-around athlete with the speed to get by his man, and the strength/body control to finish in traffic. Also has good vision to dish it out once he gets in the lane. Averaging 4.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game for the Division 1 school.
Adreyan Contreras-Ward

The freshman forward has seen time in 10 games, scoring a season best 8 points in the win over Brown Deer. He has the size and strength to defend taller players in the post, and a smooth jumper to stretch the floor on the offensive end. Scoring 2.4 ppg as a freshman.
Antoine Ozier
Antoine Ozier
Antoine hasn’t seen much time at the varsity level this winter, but I still think he’s one to keep an eye on. He’s an explosive athlete with long arms that give him a ton of potential on the defensive end. Had the chance to see him play last summer and he’s an acrobatic finisher inside who also has a nice mid-range shot. St. Cats is a very strong defensive program, and I think he will grow to fit in nicely with that mentality.
