The 6’8″ power forward has been an impactful player on both ends of the floor, he is second in the state in blocks by sophomores. Tallying almost three a game, with 28 in total on the year. He is an active player above the rim and can finish through contact. Trent has a lot of time to continue to progress offensively. He is such a timely defender, and he has found his way to alter shots without blocking every shot. A notable improvement from last year is his patience and durability.
Elijah Mobley(North Charlotte)
Elijah is in the top three in scoring for sophomores, averaging 26 a game on 52% shooting. Improving his three-point shooting this season. He has the opportunity to stick out on this team as they have not been as competitive as they would hope to turn around this four-game losing streak and get a steady winning streak going in January as well. He is a player to keep an eye on for the rest of the school year and this summer.
Jaydon Terrel(Olympic)
Jaydon does not play like a sophomore and his assist-to-turnover ratio says the same. The sophomore leader in assists per game averages almost seven dimes a game. He plays this hard on both ends and that’s why as an underclassman he has carved out such essential minutes for a Trojans team that is competing for States. But a good feel for the game and you cannot coach feel. He should be on the radar for scouts and schools to take a look and see if he is the perfect fit for their school.
Jackson Powers(Davie High)
The 6’5″ offensive lineman and rim protector has been nothing but spectacular so far this season for the War Eagles averaging a double-double on the season so far. He is averaging 15 points and 13 rebounds, he is second in rebounds among sophomores in the State. High IQ player that can step up in the big moment on both sides of the floor. A willing passer and defender as he averages two blocks a game as well.
Jonah Lawrence Jonah Lawrence 6'3" | CG Providence Day | 2025 State NC (East Meck)
The 6’3″ sophomore has the Eagles looking like an elite team with his constant scoring and his activity around the boards. He is averaging 21 points and seven rebounds. He is a well-rounded wing that can do it all, he is filling the box sheet up nightly. He is an exceptional rebounder and it gives his team a high advantage. He can score at all three levels and is an above average-finisher at the rim as well.
