Final – Northwood 77 – Person 45
Powell was dialed in on the playmaking and shot-making front as he showed off his ability to fill it up from deep, especially in the second half en route to an easy victory. He was a lot more assertive defensively and racked up four blocks unofficially as a presence around the rim as well. He’s really making a push for the top spot in NC’s 2024 class.
Highlights
Parrish was active as ever around the rim and painted area for Northwood High and it showed. He came out aggressive in the fourth quarter and was virtually unstoppable around the rim as he had a few big dunks to get the crowd going and take away all the momentum. He’s a top unsigned name in NC’s 2023 class.
Frazier is another top unsigned big man to know, though he left early with what looked like a hamstring injury. He was a pest defensively at the top of their zone press as he forced a number of steals that led to big dunks on the other end. His passing ability continues to show as well as he was lethal in the high-low game as well.
Highlights
Fowler was an active presence off the bench for Northwood High and a young name to know in NC’s 2026 class with his relentless motor. He plays with a ton of energy on the floor and can knock down shots on the perimeter as well.
Leighton was another presence on the perimeter that got hot in a hurry for Northwood High. He knocked down a total of three 3-pointers during their big run to show off his shooting stroke from deep. He continues to be a 2024 prospect that DII and DIII schools should get eyes on.
