In his first game as a freshman, Gibson drove the ball from just past halfcourt all the way into a crisp euro-step game winning layup as time expired. He catches your eye the instant he hits the floor. The 5’11 guard plays with ball handling and floor vision beyond his years and appears as to be a savvy vet on the court. Gibson is currently averaging 16.6 ppg, 5 reb, & 4.4 ast. The freshman guard is one of the top in-state prospects of 2026 and his journey and development will be an intriguing one to follow down the road!
Dayson Leerhoff Dayson Leerhoff 6'5" | PF Pleasantville Highschool | 2024 State IA – Pleasantville 2024: A dominant enforcer on the offensive end, Leerhoff is averaging a bold 20.4 points and 12.8 rebounds per game. An excellent football player, Leerhoff stands at 6’4 with an athletic built and a never-ending motor. He works his tail off on both ends to help drive the Pleasantville Trojans. He has bolsterered two 30 point games already this season to go along with 5 double-doubles in 8 games.
Carson Wade – EBF 2023: Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont might be one of the tallest teams across the board in 2A, and Wade does his part at 6’6 to help guide an experienced Rockets team. Wade has provided us with a handful of dunks early on in the first half of the season, including a few powerful put-back jams on the offensive glass. He doesn’t shoot much from beyond the arc, however, he is 5-10 on the season and has given fits to the opposition on the pick and pop.
Landon Craven Landon Craven 6'1" | SG Des Moines Christian | 2024 State IA – Des Moines Christian 2024: Craven leads the charge for the Lions this year! He is averaging 17.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest. He is also amongst the best on the defensive end in the state with 34 steals. The 6’1 lead guard is crafty and is able to use both hands to create great looks for both himself and his teammates. Craven plays with a great vocal leadership and poise while conducting the offense. I will be intrigued to see him the rest of this season and into the slate of summer action!
Everett White – Bondurant-Farrar 2023: White stands at a solid 6’7 and used all of his frame aggressively to his advantage to kick off the new year with a 22 point 17 rebound outburst against Gilbert. He also showed his athleticism and wingspan on the defensive end as he swatted a handful of shots and created countless defections and steals leading to transition baskets for the Bluejays. The senior also stepped out behind the 3pt line and hit a side-step three-pointer late in the game to end a furious Tiger comeback attempt. White’s game makes it even more difficult to stop a potent Bondurant-Farrar offense. They are one of the top 3A Boys teams in Iowa, and poised to make a deep postseason run!
