We had this one circled because of the anticipation of the two best backcourts in the state going at it. St Francis Prep has [player_tooltip player_id='992511' first='Josh' last='Pascarelli'] headed to Marist and [player_tooltip player_id='1361711' first='Vere' last='Anthony'] only a sophomore and on a lot of D1 radars. Traveling to Queens were the Stepinac Crusaders boasting Johnuel Boogie Fland and [player_tooltip player_id='1361710' first='Danny' last='Carbuccia']. Both players are highly regarded high D1 players, with many offers. Unfortunately you know what they say about best laid plans. This match up did not develop. [player_tooltip player_id='1361710' first='Danny' last='Carbuccia'] of Stepinac missed the game due to injury. The Crusaders were also without the inside outside presence of Ben Lyttle. But in true CHSAA fashion the game was intent and physical and showed off a lot of major talent. The Terriers of St Francis Prep won the game. Here are the players who left it all out on the floor and left us wanting to see a rematch.
