Our first senior mentioned is the CHSAA player of the year. If you’ve been following me these last three years you know how much I love this young players game. The future Marist college player is a leader on the court and off. A tremendous three point shooter. For his early years he was a deadly shooter from the top of the key. He is now a three point specialist from any spot on the floor. Possesses a good handle and body control to get inside and score in many different ways, extremely crafty scorer. A tremendous rebounding guard who can go up and get it, lead the break, and then finish it himself or drop a dime. Great court vision and awareness. Look forward to watching his career develop.

Sadly our last report on a player I have loved covering. A really good shooter when I first saw him is now a complete guard. Tremendous rebounder from the guard position. Tough defender and a player who makes clutch and winning plays. Has excellent footwork so he is able to post up other guards and even bigger players. Excellent off the bounce. Will play at Marist next season.

(Pictured )21 points 11 rebounds 4 assists. The Marist commit and #7 on our class of 2023 state rankings was his usual superb self. If you’ve been checking my reports you know how much I like this young man’s game. An outstanding three point shooter from the first time I saw him to now a complete guard. He can use his handle and penetrate the defense. Get by his defender off the bounce. He is a guard who can post up other guards or even players just a little bit bigger. An outstanding rebounder from the guard position, who can lead the break, set up a teammate off of it or finish in transition himself.

7. I’ve written about Josh so much I feel this is his autobiography. (Lol) But seriously from the first time I saw him and discussed with college coaches we have seen his growth. An outstanding three point shooter from the top of the key off a kick out. He now uses his handle to get off his own shot. Tremendous at getting to the rim with good body control. Outstanding rebounding guard. A player who’s been a big part of a lot of winning throughout his high school career.Has committed to Marist.

I’ve been following Josh since his sophomore year. Saw him with college coaches and when they asked I told them watch this kid from St Francis prep, he is lights out from the top of the key, three. Well he is now a complete combo guard. Excellent rebounder from the guard position. Hits the glass good enough on the offensive end and goes up and get it and then lead the break off the defensive glass. Has a elusive dribble to get into the lane and finishes multiple ways. A winning player. Should be a top player not only in the city but the state. Has committed to Marist.

Josh has committed to Marist College. It is a perfect fit for both player and Coach Dunne and the Red Foxes. They are familiar with the Terrier program securing Jaden Daughtry from last years St Francis Prep team. Josh is a lights out shooter from three. He also gets to the rim and is very creative scoring on his drives. A good rebounding guard. Has a good handle. He is a winning player ready to do what it takes to win.

One of my favorites in the CHSAA. Josh is automatic from the top of the key three. Finishes in transition and off of half court sets in the lane. Has developed a nice pull up jumper. Handles the ball well and sees the floor. Knows what it takes to win games.
