Elliott County has had a season to forget so far but it’s likely due to the fact that their roster is super young. Adkins is starting and averaging 11 points and 3 rebounds per game as an 8th grader with impressive shooting numbers of 43-36-72.
Raceland is having a pretty strong season thus far and Jonah is playing a big part as a starter for the Rams. Putting up season averages of 9 points and 3 rebounds thus far, Arnett is a player to track moving forward as his role will only expand as he gets older.
Highlights
The Faulkner name is synonymous with basketball in Elliott County and Elijah is on his way to being the next great Faulkner for the Lions. Right now, he’s floating around the perimeter and shooting more threes than twos but as Faulkner gets stronger, he should be more effective attacking the rim and getting to the free throw line.
The younger brother to Kenyon, Kade is possibly a better athlete than his brother who just signed D1 for football. Coach Gaither compared him favorably to Collins legend Dayvion McKnight. Goodin is much more of a driver than a shooter right now but he’s starting at point guard for a top 10 team in Kentucky and showing he can run a team before he’s even in high school.
Potential wise, Hager is possibly the best prospect in the class at this stage. Already 6’6 and still growing, Hager is a skilled lefty who can score the ball on the block or stretch out past the 3 point line. He’s only averaging 7 points and 4 rebounds per game now but is making the most of his opportunities by shooting 58% from the field and 50% from three. Before Boyle got their football players back, Maddox averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds per game.
