Raceland had a steady performance to advance to the next round of the tournament. A balanced scoring effort, a handful of players were making plays for Raceland at both ends of the court. I ended up spotlighting Arnett, the team’s leading scorer on the season. Despite this scoring talent, I was more impressed with Arnett on the defensive end of the court, using his fast hands and quick feet to disrupt what Kentucky Country Day wanted to do. In the trapping zone full court defense Raceland ran, Arnett flew around and forced turnovers that led to easy shot attempts for his team. One of the better 2027 prospects from the northeast part of Kentucky.

A 1,000-point scorer and All-Area selection, he led Raceland last season with 15.1 points per outing while shooting 43% from three and an impressive 87% at the line. Arnett’s quick release and confident stroke make him a dangerous perimeter threat who can catch fire in a hurry. He’s smart with his shot selection, finishes well through contact, and reads defenses effectively to make the right play at the rim.
