1:30: Chestatee vs. Duluth

Chestatee will look to muck it up defensively against a Duluth team that has confidence and firepower. The War Eagles are a veteran group with four returning starters. [player_tooltip player_id='1350895' first='Colton' last='Wilbanks'] has emerged as a game-changing forward with his elite motor and leaping ability, coming off a season in where he averaged 16.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks as a sophomore. While Duluth has 6-foot-8 [player_tooltip player_id='2298821' first='Chibueze' last='Iroajanma'], the team is predicted on the success of their backcourt. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1383027' first='David' last='Culbreath-Martin'] is a creative playmaker that breaks down defenders and can score from all three levels. Brandon Bratts is an undersized 5-foot-7 guard that can light it up from deep while Mason Smith and Takata Murphy balance the offense. The War Eagles play stingy man-to-man defense anchored by [player_tooltip player_id='1661244' first='Hugh' last='Pruitt']. The emotional leader sets the tone with his on-ball defense and crafty drives to the hoop. Josh Bull is a sporadic playmaker that can impact games on both ends of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='1661245' first='Jarvis' last='Weaver']'s energy from the swingman position and defensive versatility help the War Eagles matchup across the board. If the game turns into a shootout, Duluth will have the advantage with their depth as Joel Iberosi, Jan Smith and Osiris Nowlin can all get a bucket. Chestatee has major experience in tight games as often their scores are settled over the final eight minutes. Controlling tempo and staying within striking distance are important for the War Eagles.

4:30: White County vs. Cherokee

[player_tooltip player_id='1131539' first='Jadon' last='Yeh'] has been known to shine when the lights are the brightest, leading White County to the Sweet 16 a season ago averaging 20.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2 steals while shooting 43.8% from three. The Warriors graduate key members of the backcourt however, leaving an even larger scoring burden on his shoulders. Cherokee brings back nearly everyone from their 16-win team. The Warriors have an explosive offense that can rain in threes led by [player_tooltip player_id='1020689' first='Tayden' last='Owens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='793816' first='Cameron' last='Pope']. Cherokee likes to play with pace, getting out and running after using their physical on-ball defense to turnover opponents. The Warriors have been in the weight room. [player_tooltip player_id='1565018' first='Mason' last='Bennett'] is a hardnosed defender that can also pack a punch offensively as a distributor and streaky scorer. 6-foot-1 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1534489' first='Lawrence' last='Sanford'] holds a Kennesaw State offer, capable of catching fire off the bench in seconds. Dawson Bailey and Chad West provide experience in the White County backcourt while 6-foot-5 Noah Futch and 6-foot-4 Eli Shoemake help protect the frontcourt. They will be tasked with keeping Cherokee's [player_tooltip player_id='1201526' first='Dastin' last='Hart'] off the glass, a bouncy forward that can also step outside and hit the three. Getting off to a quick start will be imperative for White County. They will have to weather any scoring barrage provided by Cherokee and do all they can to get [player_tooltip player_id='1131539' first='Jadon' last='Yeh'] as many clean looks at the basket as possible.
